Verdict: The CORSAIR HS35 v3 Wireless is a flexible, entry-level gaming headset for buyers who want 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB wired operation in one device. CORSAIR lists PC, Mac, PlayStation, mobile, and Switch support, while PC Gamer found the 250 g headset comfortable enough to describe as light, with strong sound and microphone performance. The important limitation is equally clear: its wired mode is USB-C, not 3.5 mm analog, so it cannot plug directly into a conventional gamepad headphone jack.
CORSAIR listed the headset at $79.99 in the United States on October 13, 2026. That price and availability can change, so treat the figure as a snapshot rather than a guaranteed current offer.

What the CORSAIR HS35 v3 Wireless actually is
The CORSAIR HS35 v3 Wireless is a tri-mode headset. Its three connection choices are a 2.4 GHz wireless link through the included USB transmitter, Bluetooth, and a wired USB connection. That combination is designed for people who use a gaming PC or console at home but also want one headset for a phone, tablet, handheld, or another Bluetooth source.
It is important to separate this model from the wired HS35 v3 and the older HS35 Stereo. The product reviewed here is the wireless version, identified in CORSAIR’s listings as Carbon CA-9011401-WW or White CA-9011402-WW. The model name “HS35 v3” is used for more than one product, so verify that a listing specifically says HS35 v3 Wireless before ordering.

The battery figures are manufacturer estimates, not an independent endurance result. CORSAIR specifies 50% volume for the 2.4 GHz figure, and gives a separate Bluetooth figure. Real runtime will vary with volume, wireless mode, microphone use, and other operating conditions.
Connectivity: three modes, three different use cases
2.4 GHz wireless for gaming
The included USB transmitter provides the headset’s dedicated 2.4 GHz connection. This is the mode most buyers will consider for gaming on a compatible computer or console because it avoids a cable running from the headset to the device. CORSAIR lists the transmitter in the box, so there is no separate wireless adapter to budget for.

CORSAIR lists PC, Mac, and PlayStation among supported platforms, but does not state that every feature behaves identically on every system. Check the documentation for your particular console revision and operating system before assuming that all controls or software functions will be available.
Bluetooth for mobile and general listening
Bluetooth makes the HS35 v3 Wireless useful beyond a desk or television. CORSAIR lists mobile devices as a supported platform and claims up to 32 hours of Bluetooth battery life. The Bluetooth runtime is a separate manufacturer estimate from the 2.4 GHz claim; it should not be read as a guarantee that both modes will deliver the same endurance in the same conditions.

Bluetooth is also the reason this headset can cover a phone or tablet without using the USB transmitter. Whether a specific console or handheld exposes Bluetooth audio in the way you expect is a platform question, not something established merely by the presence of Bluetooth in the headset. The safest approach is to use the transmitter where CORSAIR lists USB wireless support and reserve Bluetooth for devices that explicitly support the headset profile you need.
USB-C wired mode
PC Gamer reports that the wired connection uses USB-C. This is digital USB audio, not an analog cable. The distinction matters because PC Gamer specifically notes that the HS35 v3 Wireless does not provide a 3.5 mm connection.
Recommended Free Tools
If your normal setup is a controller with a 3.5 mm headset socket, this headset cannot be connected directly through that socket. A USB-C cable is not a substitute for a 3.5 mm analog lead, and an adapter should not be assumed to solve the problem unless it is designed for the required USB audio behavior and is supported by the console. Buyers who require direct analog gamepad connectivity should treat the missing 3.5 mm jack as a decisive limitation.
Platform compatibility and what to verify
CORSAIR lists five broad platform categories. The list establishes intended compatibility, but it does not promise that every connection mode, control, or software feature works everywhere.
| Platform | What the listing establishes | What to check before buying |
|---|---|---|
| PC | Supported; 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and USB wired modes are the relevant choices | USB port availability, operating-system permissions, and whether Dolby Access is installed if you want Dolby Atmos |
| Mac | Listed as supported | Which connection mode your Mac supports most conveniently and whether optional software features are available on macOS |
| PlayStation | Listed as supported | Console USB-audio behavior and whether you plan to use the transmitter rather than a controller’s 3.5 mm jack |
| Mobile | Listed as supported | Bluetooth pairing behavior, phone permissions, and available battery at the time of use |
| Switch | Listed as supported | Whether you are using the transmitter, Bluetooth, or USB and how your specific Switch setup handles that connection |
This table intentionally does not assign every mode to every platform. The official listing names the platforms, but the available evidence does not establish a universal mode-by-mode feature matrix. Confirm the exact connection you need before purchase, especially for console use.

Battery life and charging expectations
CORSAIR claims up to 30 hours at 50% volume over 2.4 GHz and up to 32 hours over Bluetooth. “Up to” is important: these are maximum-style manufacturer figures under stated conditions, not a promise of a fixed number of hours in every session. Higher volume and different usage patterns can reduce runtime.
The package includes a 1.8 m USB charging cable. The cable is long enough for ordinary desk charging, but the evidence does not establish its connector details beyond the product’s USB charging description. PC Gamer characterizes the battery as mid-range rather than exceptional. That is a useful positioning point: the HS35 v3 Wireless is aimed at practical everyday use, not at buyers choosing solely on the longest possible battery claim.
Plan charging around the mode you use most. The 2.4 GHz estimate is lower than the Bluetooth estimate, and the two numbers were not produced under an independent side-by-side test. If uninterrupted multi-day use is your priority, keep the cable accessible and regard the published figures as planning guidance rather than a guarantee.
Audio and microphone performance
Sound
The headset uses 50 mm drivers and has a published 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency response. Those are hardware and specification claims; they do not by themselves predict how every listener will judge tuning, imaging, bass, or detail. PC Gamer’s hands-on review describes the sound performance positively, which supports the view that the HS35 v3 Wireless is not merely trading audio quality for wireless convenience.
Because no independent frequency-response chart or standardized listening measurements are supplied here, avoid treating the 20 Hz–20 kHz figure as proof of a particular sound signature. It tells you the published range, not how evenly the headset reproduces that range.

- Please Note: To reach 10Gbps speed, keep the cable under 3.3 ft. For USB A Male to USB C adapters, try flipping the USB C connector. USB C Male to USB A adapters support bidirectional 10Gbps transfer within 3.3 ft
Microphone
CORSAIR specifies an omnidirectional detachable microphone. Detachable construction lets you remove the boom when you are listening without speaking or carrying the headset, while the omnidirectional design describes how the microphone picks up sound around its capsule. PC Gamer reports the microphone performance positively in use.
The microphone’s practical result will still depend on placement, room noise, the game or chat application’s processing, and the platform’s input settings. The available review does not establish a laboratory noise-rejection score, broadcast certification, or identical quality across every platform, so those should not be inferred from the word “omnidirectional.”
Comfort, weight, and physical design
PC Gamer reports a 250 g weight and describes the headset as light. Weight is only one part of comfort, but it gives buyers a useful reference when comparing products. Head shape, clamping force, ear-pad material, glasses, hair, and session length can change the experience substantially; the supplied evidence does not provide measurements for those variables.
The detachable microphone is the most obvious modular element. Remove it when you do not need voice chat, and store it where it will not be lost. The included transmitter and charging cable mean the basic wireless setup does not require an additional accessory purchase.

PC Gamer notes limited onboard controls. That means buyers should not expect a large set of physical shortcuts or a richly populated control surface on the earcups. The exact control layout and software feature list are not established in the available evidence, so do not assume dedicated buttons for every function you may have used on another headset.

- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
Dolby Atmos is a separate consideration. CORSAIR says Dolby Atmos availability is limited to PC and requires Dolby Access. It is therefore not a universal headset feature that follows you to PlayStation, Switch, Mac, or mobile. On a PC, you must obtain and use Dolby Access for the feature; on other listed platforms, the evidence does not support promising Dolby Atmos operation.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose the right connection
- Choose 2.4 GHz when you want the included USB transmitter to provide the primary gaming link on a compatible computer or console.
- Choose Bluetooth when connecting to a compatible phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth host, and use CORSAIR’s separate up-to-32-hour estimate as the relevant battery reference.
- Choose USB-C wired when you want a direct digital USB connection or need to continue using the headset while charging, subject to the host’s USB-audio support.
- Do not choose it for 3.5 mm analog use if your plan depends on plugging into a controller, airplane entertainment system, or another standard headphone socket. PC Gamer reports that the headset has no 3.5 mm connection.
Setup checklist by device type
PC
- Connect the included USB wireless transmitter to the computer for 2.4 GHz use, or pair the headset through the computer’s Bluetooth settings.
- Select the HS35 v3 Wireless as the system output and microphone device.
- Run a short playback and voice-recording check before joining a call or game.
- If you want Dolby Atmos, install and configure Dolby Access on the PC; CORSAIR specifies that this feature is PC-only.
Mac
- Use the USB transmitter, Bluetooth, or USB wired mode that best fits your Mac’s available ports and settings.
- Choose the headset for both sound output and microphone input in macOS.
- Confirm that the application you use for chat is allowed to access the microphone.
PlayStation
- Start with the included USB transmitter if your console setup accepts USB audio.
- Set the console’s output and input devices to the headset where required.
- Do not plan on using the controller’s 3.5 mm jack; PC Gamer reports that the headset has no analog connection.
Mobile
- Put the headset into Bluetooth pairing mode and select it in the phone or tablet’s Bluetooth menu.
- Grant call or voice-chat microphone permission when prompted.
- Monitor battery status because CORSAIR’s 32-hour Bluetooth figure is an “up to” estimate.
Switch
- Choose the connection method supported by your particular Switch setup: transmitter, Bluetooth, or USB.
- Test game audio and voice-chat behavior separately, because the platform may expose different features for each mode.
- Keep the USB-C wired limitation in mind if your intended setup is based on an analog controller jack.
Price, value, and what is in the box
CORSAIR’s US listing showed $79.99 on October 13, 2026, while PC Gamer’s review used an approximately $80 price context. Both references place the headset in the affordable-to-midrange part of the gaming-headset market, but neither establishes a permanent price. Check the live listing before purchasing because stock, discounts, regional pricing, and taxes can change.
The package contents are straightforward:
- HS35 v3 Wireless headset
- USB wireless transmitter
- 1.8 m USB charging cable
The supplied contents cover wireless setup and charging. There is no evidence here that a 3.5 mm cable, analog adapter, carrying case, or extra microphone is included. Do not count on those items unless the current box or listing explicitly names them.
Strengths and compromises

|---|---|
| Three connection modes: 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and USB wired | No 3.5 mm analog connection, according to PC Gamer |
| Broad platform list covering PC, Mac, PlayStation, mobile, and Switch | Platform support does not mean every mode or feature works identically everywhere |
| Positive PC Gamer assessment of sound and microphone performance | PC Gamer describes the battery as mid-range rather than outstanding |
| 250 g weight reported as light by PC Gamer | Limited onboard controls |
| Detachable omnidirectional microphone | Dolby Atmos is PC-only and requires Dolby Access |
| Wireless transmitter and charging cable included | Battery figures are CORSAIR estimates, not independent measurements |
Who should buy the HS35 v3 Wireless?
This headset makes the most sense for a buyer who wants one device to move between a gaming PC, a console USB setup, and a Bluetooth phone or handheld. The positive independent comments on sound and microphone quality, the 250 g weight, and the included transmitter make the feature set easy to understand at an observed US price of $79.99.
It is also a sensible choice if you specifically prefer a detachable microphone and do not want to purchase a separate USB wireless adapter. The tri-mode design can reduce the need to keep different headsets for gaming and mobile listening, provided your devices support the connection method you intend to use.
Who should look elsewhere?
Choose another model if a 3.5 mm analog connection is non-negotiable. The HS35 v3 Wireless cannot directly serve a controller-based setup that depends on the standard analog jack. It may also be a poor fit if you want extensive earcup controls, a clearly documented feature matrix for every console mode, or the longest possible battery life rather than a mid-range result.
Buyers who want Dolby Atmos on a console, Mac, or mobile device should also reconsider: CORSAIR specifies Dolby Atmos for PC only and requires Dolby Access. Finally, anyone comparing the wireless headset with the wired HS35 v3 should check the product name and SKU carefully, because the connectivity and purchase decision are different.
Bottom-line buying advice
Buy the CORSAIR HS35 v3 Wireless when its three-mode flexibility is more valuable to you than analog compatibility or a larger control set. Its strongest case is a roughly $80 headset that combines 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, USB-C wired operation, a detachable microphone, and broad listed platform support. Its clearest deal-breaker is the absence of 3.5 mm audio. Confirm your platform’s USB or Bluetooth behavior, check the live price and stock, and decide whether the PC-only Dolby Atmos requirement matters before placing the order.
