Jay Marshall’s GadgetGuy review scored it 9.1/10 after several weeks of use, praising comfort, display, navigation and value while noting limitations in the interface, notifications and contactless payments. Its Australian RRP was listed as A$799 in that 2026 review; COROS’s U.S. purchase page displayed US$449 when accessed on 7 October 2026. These are different regional prices, not a direct price comparison.
What does the COROS PACE 4 Pro offer?
The PACE 4 Pro pairs training and multisport features with a premium display and materials. COROS lists a 1.47-inch, 466 × 466 LTPO AMOLED display beneath sapphire glass, with a TC4 titanium-alloy bezel. The watch measures 47.6 × 47.6 × 11.8 mm and weighs 43 g with the nylon band or 51 g with silicone. It uses a 22 mm quick-release band.

It has 5 ATM water resistance, which COROS says is suitable for surface-water activities but not diving. Connectivity includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for data syncing; internal storage is 32 GB. COROS also lists optical heart-rate sensing, SpO2 and ECG features, plus a speaker and microphone. For training, it supports Bluetooth heart-rate monitors, cycling power meters, cadence and speed sensors, and the COROS POD 2. Music can be stored on the watch and played through supported Bluetooth headphones.

How does it feel to wear and use?
Marshall tested the watch over several weeks, including repeated runs and trail running. They describe the black nylon-band version as comfortable and secure, and single out the large, bright screen as a strength. The activity pages can show up to 11 selected data fields; the review also describes a separate 13-field Multi-Data Activity page.

The reviewer’s reservations are about how well the interface uses that screen and how notifications are presented: they found the interface could do more with the display and notifications lacked visual distinction. These are usability judgments from one review, rather than measured performance claims.
How good are the GPS and heart-rate readings?
Marshall found GPS performance accurate on their runs using the default High setting and switched to Max when seeking more accuracy. That is an individual field impression, not a controlled comparison or a guarantee for every location. COROS describes High as single-frequency GPS intended for open terrain, while Max uses dual-frequency GPS for more complex environments such as urban canyons and dense forests.

Heart-rate results were less satisfactory for the reviewer: Marshall says wrist readings were generally 10–20 bpm below what they expected for their own heart rate. They caution that wrist sensors have limitations and that this may be specific to their experience. Pairing COROS’s arm-worn Heart Rate Monitor reportedly gave readings they considered accurate. The accessory is optional; this account does not establish that other users will have the same issue or that an external monitor is necessary.
How long does the battery last?
COROS’s estimates below were listed on its specifications page retrieved 7 October 2026. They are manufacturer figures, not independent test results; COROS says actual life varies with use and settings.

GPS mode, always-on display, music, backlight and navigation can affect real-world battery life. For planning, use the estimate for the GPS mode and display setting you expect to run, rather than treating the longest figure as a general runtime.
Can it navigate without a phone?
COROS lists downloadable offline maps, street and trail names, points of interest, turn-by-turn navigation and 32 GB of onboard storage. Marshall found maps and turn-by-turn guidance useful on trails. The available material does not specify map coverage by country or whether every map detail is available in every region, so check coverage for your intended routes before relying on it.

Does the PACE 4 Pro support NFC payments or have a flashlight?
The GadgetGuy review reports that the watch does not support NFC payments. No separate confirmation of payment support is established here, so readers who need contactless payments should verify the feature for their region and current model before buying.

Marshall’s review says there is no dedicated LED flashlight and describes using the screen as a light. COROS’s current product page lists a built-in flashlight feature, but the available information does not explain whether that refers to a dedicated LED or a screen-based lighting function, or identify the firmware context. Treat the implementation as unresolved rather than assuming either description settles what the watch provides.

GadgetGuy listed an Australian recommended retail price of A$799 in its review published 25 September 2026. COROS’s U.S. purchase page displayed US$449 when accessed 7 October 2026. Each figure applies to its stated market and date; prices, stock and availability can change. The two prices should not be read as a like-for-like comparison.
Who is it best suited to?
The PACE 4 Pro makes the most sense for runners and multisport athletes who value a bright, high-resolution screen, onboard route guidance and long advertised GPS runtimes, and who are comfortable choosing a GPS mode to suit their environment. Its premium glass and bezel, case size and band weight are also worth weighing against personal fit and comfort.
Before choosing it over another training watch, compare the local price and included band, the battery estimate for your actual display and GPS settings, supported sensors and sports features, and the everyday functions you care about. The review’s headline enthusiasm is clear—Marshall called it their watch of the year so far—but the score of 9.1/10 is that publication’s editorial rating, not an independent accuracy statistic or a universal verdict.
