The Underpass has two separate Archives collectible categories: 21 Exploration entries and 15 Accounts entries, according to Camzillasmom’s 2026 walkthroughs. Most are along the story route in Recursions and Iterations; the final two Exploration documents require the post-story Maintenance Protocol quest in the Oldest House. Use the checklists below in Archives order. Exploration locations and Accounts locations are from third-party guides, not an official Remedy item index.
Before you start: route and quest timing
The Underpass entrance is at the bottom of the Sinkhole in the Evacuation Zone. Most entries are found while following the ropes and exploring The Spire and its research sites during Recursions and Iterations. The last two Exploration entries are different: they are in the Oldest House during Maintenance Protocol, which the walkthrough says begins after the main story.

Underpass Exploration collectibles: all 21 locations
- Schultz Expedition Log #1 — At The Spire, a little farther up and to the left from A Half-Filled Form.
- A Half-Filled Form — In the tented research area at The Spire, on a table near the Underpass Resonant location. Follow the ropes during Recursions and Iterations to reach it.
- Ayad Engineering Log #1 — On a computer desk just north of the Halfway Trail Fast Travel Door.
- Grist Research Log #1 — On the southern side of Research Site, in the room with the Player Customization box.
- Schultz Expedition Log #2 — At “…Research Site?”, west of Research Site, near the garbage bags. Waste Disposal, an Accounts entry, is nearby.
- Steinbeck Psychiatry Report #1 — Beside the research team Dylan finds at Research Site during Recursions and Iterations.
- Notes On Team Psychology — On the western side of Research Site. Ayad Transmission, an Accounts entry, is on the same side.
- Initial Findings — On the southern side of Research Site, near the Player Customization box.
- Grist Research Log #2 — At Another Research Site, south of Research Site, in the Player Customization box room. Frequent Disagreements, an Accounts entry, is also there.
- Steinbeck Psychiatry Report #2 — In the southern office at Another Research Site.
- Unable To Contact Pope — In the same southern office as Steinbeck Psychiatry Report #2.
- Persistent Memory Issues — The third document in that southern office.
- Ayad Engineering Log #2 — At “…Research Site?”, west of Research Site, in the room with the Player Customization box.
- Grist Research Log #3 — At the western “…Research Site?” Return after speaking with Dr. Grist at Another Research Site and take it from the floor in the center. The guide says this document is required to advance the story.
- Schultz Expedition Log #3 — In the office on the northern side of “…Research Site?”
- Notes On Patterning/Spacetime — In the center of “…Research Site?”, where Dylan finds Schultz during Recursions and Iterations.
- Morale’s In The Toilet — In the same office as Schultz Expedition Log #3.
- Our Memories Aren’t The Problem — At “…Research Site?”, in the room with the Player Customization box and Ayad Engineering Log #2.
- Steinbeck Psychiatry Report #3 — At Research Site… Again, reached by crossing the chasm by cable car. The guide places it in the central area where researchers usually stand; Scrawled Note, an Accounts entry, is also there.
- The Roots Of The Oldest House? — During post-story Maintenance Protocol, enter the Oldest House through the door near the sapling in the Underpass. The document is in the first lobby room.
- On the Oldest House’s Form — During Maintenance Protocol, go upstairs from The Roots Of The Oldest House? to the office with the Power Upgrade box.
Underpass Accounts collectibles: all 15 locations
- Here Be Dragons — Just after entering the Underpass from the Sinkhole.
- In Case Things Go Wrong — From the northeast entry corridor where Here Be Dragons is found, drop to the platform with two rows of desks and a save point. The document is on a desk.
- The Sheer Scale Of The Underpass — During Recursions and Iterations, follow Agent Schultz’s ropes past the Underpass vendor to the next save point.
- Blazing A Trail — Continue along the rope route. Cross the shifting platforms to a larger red square platform, defeat the Hiss, shift onto the ceiling, then drop through the square floor opening. The document is on a desk on the concrete section.
- Ayad Transmission — On the western side of Research Site; Notes On Team Psychology is nearby.
- Strange Lights — On the level of The Spire Fast Travel door, at a small southern lookout.
- Frequent Disagreements — At Another Research Site, in the Player Customization Box room with Grist Research Log #2.
- Everybody’s So Damn Tired — At Another Research Site, in the central area with researchers where Dylan meets Dr. Grist. The nearby southern office contains three Exploration documents.
- Note To Self — In the same section near the dead scientists as Everybody’s So Damn Tired, closer to the stairs.
- Grist Hiss Recording — Pick it up during the Recursions and Iterations “Track the Time Fluctuations” steps.
- Waste Disposal — At “…Research Site?”, west of Research Site, on the floor beside full garbage bags. Schultz Expedition Log #2 is at the same landmark.
- Final Survivor — At “…Research Site?”, below the dead scientists.
- Scrawled Note — At Research Site… Again, across the chasm by cable car, in the office with the Character Customization box. Steinbeck Psychiatry Report #3 is nearby.
- I Don’t Mind Dying — During “Follow the Relays to Grist,” next to the body of a dead Dylan.
- Grist’s Final Words — During “Follow the Relays to Grist,” where Dylan finds Dr. Grist after following the relays. This is a story-dependent, spoiler-sensitive pickup.
Efficient sweep: pair the categories at shared landmarks
If you are collecting during the story, check both Archives categories as you move between objectives rather than revisiting every site. These named pairings are especially useful:

- Western “…Research Site?”: Schultz Expedition Log #2 and Waste Disposal are by the garbage bags. Ayad Engineering Log #2 and Our Memories Aren’t The Problem share the Player Customization room. Schultz Expedition Log #3 and Morale’s In The Toilet are in the same northern office.
- Research Site… Again: Cross the chasm by cable car; the guides place Steinbeck Psychiatry Report #3 and Scrawled Note on this side.
The late story pickups I Don’t Mind Dying and Grist’s Final Words are tied to “Follow the Relays to Grist,” so collect them when that objective takes you there. Return after the main story for the two Oldest House documents; they are not part of the ordinary Underpass research-site sweep.

The Underpass Map Kit, FBC Tasks, Dylan Sketchbooks, and Astral Keys are separate activities or quest objectives, not additional entries in the Exploration and Accounts lists. The Map Kit guide describes a zone kit as one Pylon plus three Sensors; for the Underpass, it places the Pylon on a floating platform in the northeast and the Sensors on north, east, and south columns or platforms around it. This can help reveal the map, but it is not an Archives checklist. Underpass Map Kit locations.

A separate cleanup guide places the Underpass FBC Task board past the cable car on the Recursions and Iterations route. It describes seven zone boards and says 20 completions are enough for Diligent Consultant; it also counts 11 Dylan Sketchbooks across the zones. The nearby Underpass Resonant Astral Plane quest is also separate. From the locked door, facing away from it, take the right-hand path for the first key, go straight to the far end for the second, and use the second floating platform on the left for the third. The guide reports a choice between Spike and Astral Rebuke, plus the Untapped Golden Earrings Artifact Recipe after beating The Physicist. Underpass Resonant Astral Plane route.
