To earn Dog’s Best Friend in Control Resonant, complete the dog-and-toy encounter in each of seven zones, then return to The Gap and interact with the dog one last time. Finding a dog alone does not count: retrieve her nearby plush toy and bring it back to finish each encounter.
How the trophy route works
There are seven zone encounters: Downtown, Central, West Incursion Zone, Evacuation Zone, The Park, Underpass, and Unknown. After completing all seven, visit The Gap for the final interaction that triggers the trophy. Some guides call this eight dog locations because they count the Gap interaction as an eighth stop. The trophy description is “Gain a furry friend.”

At each zone, locate the dog, find the recurring plush toy, return it, and interact with her. The toy is described inconsistently by guides, so use its appearance in the game rather than relying on a color or creature name.

All seven dog and toy locations
1. Downtown
Find the dog on a rooftop in the southwest corner. Her toy is on the next roof to the left. Return it to complete this encounter.

2. Central
The dog is on an eastern rooftop. Follow the direction she faces to the alley below; the toy is at the end of that alley. Bring it back to her.
3. West Incursion Zone
The dog is on a rooftop in the northwest corner. You need Shift to reach the roof; Shift becomes available through the Jesse Sightings: The Incursion Fault story progression. The toy is on the next roof in the direction the dog faces.

4. Evacuation Zone
Look for the dog on a northern rooftop. Her toy is on the upside-down roof directly above. Use Shift to latch onto that roof, collect the toy, then Shift back to the dog.

The dog is in the northeast. Her toy is behind her on a roof reached by a yellow lift. Power the lift at the Power Core Station. The direct route is too long, so use the intermediate rooftop power box to complete the connection.

6. Underpass
The dog is on a platform between Halfway Trail and the Research Site. Reaching her requires Gravity Shift and Reach. The toy is directly above on the opposite gravity floor. Use the radiator and nearby pillars to reach it, then follow the Gravity Shift and Reach route back to the dog.
7. Unknown
The dog is on the northwest island, an area accessible after completing Pope’s Research. Her toy is much farther away on the skyscraper she faces. Use Gravity Shift on the neighboring building to reach it, then return the toy to her.

Finish the trophy in The Gap
Once all seven zone encounters are complete, hold down to visit The Gap and interact with the dog again. This last interaction completes the trophy. PowerPyx also reports an Untapped Trusted Spanner artifact reward for this step.
When to do the dog encounters
Several stops depend on story-earned traversal abilities, and Unknown is late-game content. That makes this route practical as a cleanup task or later progression activity. The available guides do not establish a mandatory order, so follow the encounters as your access and abilities allow.
