The handbook’s carton list includes the vacuum, hose, two extension tubes, floor-cleaner attachment, nozzle attachment and owner handbook. It describes intended settings and operation, not cleaning results.

Floor-cleaner attachment
The floor head has a retractable brush. The handbook directs users to extend it for wood or tiled floors and retract it for carpets and rugs. This is a feature description; it does not show how effectively the vacuum cleans any of those surfaces.
Nozzle attachment and suction control
The combined nozzle tool rotates between a plain nozzle and a small brush. The handbook says to use the extension tubes to reach higher areas. A slider on the hose handle controls suction.

What does the available review evidence establish?
CHOICE identifies the product and publishes specifications, but its expert rating and most performance scores are restricted to members. The public record therefore does not support a claim that the BW-1602 excels or struggles with carpet cleaning, pet hair, noise, ease of use, reliability or owner satisfaction.
For a comparison with another vacuum, use evidence that is available for both models: measured dust capacity, reach, weight, power figures, included tools, warranty terms at the time of sale, current parts availability and independent performance results. The BW-1602’s listed measurements alone do not establish its cleaning performance.

How should you care for its filters?
The handbook says the vacuum has three filters that require regular cleaning: a main filter assembly with fabric and foam components, plus a foam air-outlet filter. It directs users to wash applicable components under warm running water and let every component dry completely before reassembly. - Do not operate the vacuum without its filters.
- Empty the dust container and keep filters clear. The handbook warns: “If the container is over-full or if the filter becomes blocked, suction will reduce significantly and the cleaner may overheat.” It also warns of possible permanent damage.
- Stop the machine if an intake or attachment becomes blocked.
If the thermal cutout activates, the handbook’s troubleshooting advice is to switch off and unplug the vacuum, then leave it standing for one hour. Consult the complete manual for the applicable steps and safety instructions.

Where can you get a replacement filter?
The handbook confirms that the filters need cleaning, but it does not provide a replacement-filter SKU or a specification for compatible third-party filters. The available record also does not verify a current source for genuine filters, replacement attachments or compatible parts. Before buying a filter, ask a seller to confirm fit specifically for the Contempo BW-1602; do not assume a generic filter will fit.
