If you can stretch slightly, the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is the better-documented choice: Xiaomi publishes a full India specification sheet that includes a 6,580mAh battery, 45W charging and a 200MP main camera. The Motorola Edge 70 is a credible alternative, but the India configuration, full specifications and local availability are not confirmed by the official pages we could check. Treat it as a model to verify before you compare prices.
Start with the budget
Both phones were priced above ₹30,000 when checked on 7 October 2026. Xiaomi India’s product catalogue showed the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G at ₹31,999 and marked it out of stock at that time. A Gadgets 360 phone page dated the same day listed Motorola Edge 70 8GB/256GB colour variants at ₹31,945 to ₹32,999, with ₹31,945 shown at Amazon.

Whether the budget is a strict ceiling changes the answer. If it is, neither phone qualifies at these snapshots, and you would need a live discount or a different model. Retailer prices, stock and offers move quickly, so check them on the day you buy.

Xiaomi lists the phone, a USB-C cable, a SIM eject tool, a protective case and the charging adapter. A case is already included, so buying one is only worth it if you need a different level of protection and have confirmed the fit for your exact model.
Motorola Edge 70: what is verified
Motorola Support India identifies the Edge 70 and provides a hardware overview. That overview shows a rear camera arrangement with a 50MP-class main camera and an ultra-wide/macro module, a wireless charging area, NFC, a SIM tray and a USB-C port. It does not give the sensor details, battery capacity, charging wattage, display specifications or dimensions for the India version, so those points cannot be compared yet.

Gadgets 360’s phone page, dated 7 October 2026, lists 8GB/256GB colour variants and prices, but its launch field reads ‘Launched in India: No’. That conflicts with the Indian prices on the same page. Confirm the India model, variant, warranty and stock on Motorola India’s site or a major retailer before you treat the phone as an Indian purchase option.

It estimates 46.42 kg CO2e. The estimate assumes a 160g phone, a 6.7-inch screen, a three-year use period, 5.0 kWh per year of energy use and use in Argentina. Motorola states that the result should not be used to compare products or manufacturers, so it is not a sustainability ranking against the Redmi.

What the specifications can and cannot settle
Megapixels are not a photo verdict
A 200MP main sensor is a headline figure, not proof of better photos. Pixel binning, processing, lens quality and stabilisation all shape the final image. The Edge 70’s main-camera resolution is not stated in the sources checked, so the spec sheets cannot decide the camera contest. Use independent reviews that publish daylight and low-light samples under stated conditions.

Battery and charging
A 6,580mAh battery and 45W charging are Xiaomi’s figures. Actual endurance depends on screen settings, network conditions and usage, and it needs a named independent test to compare. The Edge 70’s battery capacity is not stated, so there is no spec-based battery comparison.
Durability, warranty and updates
The sources checked do not give a directly comparable IP rating, warranty length or software-update promise for either phone. Read the warranty terms in writing from the seller or brand before you pay, and check the update policy for the exact model you buy.

Which phone fits which reader
- Choose the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G if you want the largest published battery and the highest-resolution main camera on the spec sheet, and you can pay around its listed price or find a discount. Its specifications are fully stated, so you know what you are buying.
