Overview

Nexaloom brings appointment scheduling, client management, payments and commerce tools together for salons, wellness businesses and other service providers. It is especially suited to independent professionals and small teams that want a free starting point and room to add staff. The 24/7 booking and website tools are compelling, but payment fees apply on every plan and VAT is extra.

Key features

Bookings and calendars

Clients can book at any time against real-time availability, with appointment updates. That gives service businesses a way to accept bookings outside opening hours while keeping availability current. Google Calendar, Outlook and iCal sync can help align appointments with existing calendars.

The beta AI booking assistant handles client questions and bookings over WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and website chat. That broad channel coverage may reduce the need to funnel every enquiry through one platform, though its beta status makes it a less settled part of the offering. The homepage also lists integrations with Stripe, Xero, Google Calendar, Klaviyo, Google Meet and Zoom.

Website, commerce and mobile

The website builder combines online booking and e-commerce with mobile-ready design and SEO tools. Custom domains are supported, which suits businesses that want their booking flow and storefront under their own web address. Nexaloom's iOS and Android apps support business bookings, calendar checks and payments; clients can use the app to manage visits.

Privacy and support

All plans include customer support. Nexaloom identifies ICO registration, PCI DSS via Stripe, UK data residency, and coverage under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 across its plans. It also says it assesses sub-processors' privacy and security practices and uses data processing agreements consistent with UK GDPR Article 28.

Pricing

Nexaloom uses a freemium model. Prices exclude VAT, and payments processed through the service incur a 1.85% + 20p transaction fee on every plan, so businesses should include both in their cost comparison.

Plan	Price	What it includes
Free Plan	0.00 GBP per month (billed £0 per month)	1 staff member, 1 location, unlimited appointments and email reminders; 1.85% + 20p transaction fee.
Starter Plan	19.99 GBP per month (billed £19.99 per month)	Up to 3 staff and 50 reminder SMS per staff; 1.85% + 20p transaction fee.
Pro Plan	39.99 GBP per month (billed £39.99 per month)	Up to 10 staff, 50 reminder SMS per staff and priority customer support; 1.85% + 20p transaction fee.

Free is the natural fit for a solo professional or small salon willing to stay within one staff member and one location. Unlimited appointments are a strong allowance, but reminders are email-only. Starter is aimed at growing beauty businesses: it raises capacity to three staff and adds 50 SMS reminders per staff, while larger teams will need Pro for up to 10 staff and priority support. The SMS allowance is finite on both paid tiers, so high-volume text reminders may not fit. All plans retain the same payment fee.

Platforms

Nexaloom supports web, Android and iOS. The mobile apps cover business bookings, calendar checks and payments, while clients can manage their visits.

Who it's for

Nexaloom is a good fit for salons, wellness businesses and service providers that need online booking alongside client tools and a commerce-capable website. Its free plan keeps the entry cost low for a one-person operation; the paid staff tiers suit businesses expanding to three or up to 10 staff. Businesses that need more than 10 staff or rely on more than 50 SMS reminders per staff should weigh those caps carefully.

Pros and cons

Pros: Free supports unlimited appointments for one staff member at one location, making it a usable starting tier rather than a time-limited trial.
Pros: Booking, calendar sync, website commerce, mobile apps and client communications cover several day-to-day needs in one service.
Pros: Paid plans include a defined SMS allowance, and Pro adds priority support.
Cons: Every plan charges 1.85% + 20p per payment, which can add up for businesses processing many transactions.
Cons: Prices exclude VAT, and paid tiers cap SMS reminders at 50 per staff.
Cons: The AI assistant is in beta, so it is less suitable as the sole basis for a critical booking workflow.

Alternatives

Salon Website Builders is a useful category to compare if choosing a website-focused option is more important than selecting an all-in-one booking service.

Dahree is worth considering for a free booking website with 24/7 scheduling, services and availability, email confirmations and reminders, and basic booking and earnings analytics; it also offers a free trial.

OpenSlot may suit businesses looking for core tools during launch with 0% marketplace commission; its free business plan bills SMS separately by usage.

FARSET is an alternative for businesses whose free tier's 20 confirmed bookings per month is enough, or that want unlimited bookings on its Pro plan at 15.00 GBP per month.

SalonSitePro offers a free web-based option centered on a website, online bookings, client forms and follow-ups, with Stripe processing fees applying.

UOVA is a web-based choice for AI-generated sites, with a free allowance of 250 AI credits per month, up to 35 images per month and unlimited published sites on a UOVA subdomain.

Zolmi is another salon-focused option; its START plan is 20.00 USD per month and covers one staff member, with additional staff at 3 each and stock limited to 10 products.

DaySmart Salon may be a better fit for someone seeking a paid salon platform with a free trial; its Basic plan is 29.00 USD per month and includes one user and online booking.

Salonized is a paid alternative with an Appointments plan at 21.00 EUR per month, with annual billing available at a 10% discount.

Verdict

Choose Nexaloom if you run a salon, wellness business or service operation that wants bookings, client tools and a commerce-capable website together, with a free plan for a solo operator and defined staff upgrades. Its main trade-offs are the per-payment charge across all tiers, VAT on top and capped SMS allowances. Businesses that need a larger staff ceiling or heavier text reminders should compare other options before committing.
