Overview

Metaview brings agents for sourcing, outreach, application review, screening, interview notes, and reporting into one platform. Its sourcing agent builds candidate shortlists and tailors outreach to a team’s tone. Agents can begin work after an intake call and use later reviews, interviews, and hiring decisions to improve searches. That feedback loop is useful when teams want evaluation to inform sourcing, rather than treating each step as a separate task.

Integrations span applicant tracking systems, video conferencing, calendars and scheduling, and SSO providers. Named connections include Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zapier. Customers switching from another tool can bulk-import transcripts when each batch uses a consistent format.

Key features

Sourcing and evaluation

Shortlist generation and tone-aware outreach address the work of finding and contacting candidates; automated scorecards and interviewer coaching extend the platform into assessment. The breadth is attractive to teams seeking a connected hiring workflow, though the sourcing quotas on lower tiers may constrain teams handling many profiles.

Interview recording and data controls

The Mac and Windows desktop app records conversations without a bot joining the call, and recording modes include both options. Candidates can opt out, audio or video capture can be disabled, and customers can delete recordings or set retention policies. Recordings and transcripts are hosted in an AWS UK environment with a default two-year retention period, so teams should decide whether that default suits their policies. Metaview says it is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, and PIPEDA compliance.

Help Center and email support are available to customers. Migration imports require a consistent format within each batch, a practical constraint for teams moving varied transcript archives.

Pricing

The Free plan offers the first 100 profiles sourced free and infinite concurrent searches. It is a way to assess the workflow, but the profile cap limits ongoing use. Pro costs 100.00 USD per month, billed monthly per user, and includes 200 profiles sourced per month with infinite concurrent searches. It fits recruiters with moderate sourcing needs; the per-user term means costs rise with team size.

Max costs 300.00 USD per month, billed monthly per user, for unlimited profiles sourced and infinite concurrent searches. It is the better fit for high-volume sourcing, but carries a substantially higher per-user price. Metaview also gives a paid-from figure of $60/user/mo; the listed Pro and Max plan prices are higher, so buyers should confirm which offer and scope apply before budgeting.

Enterprise has tailored pricing, custom volume and usage, dedicated support and training, and enterprise security features. The Agentic Recruiting Platform has custom pricing and bundles all agents and premium features. These options suit organizations seeking tailored usage or the full suite, rather than teams wanting a simple fixed-price tier.

Platforms

Metaview is available on web, macOS, and Windows; its desktop recorder supports Mac and Windows. The platform also supports a Chrome extension.

Who it's for

Metaview says recruiters, hiring managers, search firms, and recruiting agencies use it, from startups to Fortune 500 companies. It is most compelling for teams that want sourcing, interview support, and evaluation connected. Small teams or occasional recruiters may find the per-user paid plans and profile caps harder to justify.

Pros and cons

Pros: Agents cover multiple recruiting stages, and hiring feedback can improve later searches.
Pros: ATS, video, scheduling, and SSO integrations support a workflow across recruiting tools.
Pros: Candidate opt-out and customer-set retention policies give teams meaningful recording controls.
Cons: The Free plan stops after 100 sourced profiles, while Pro allows 200 per month.
Cons: Pro and Max are billed monthly per user, making team-wide adoption more costly as headcount grows.
Cons: The default two-year retention period may not suit every organization's policy without adjustment.

Alternatives

For a free ATS with career-site, candidate-pipeline, team, and analytics tools, consider Sprad. Teams focused on searching European profiles, with ranked matches but no outreach or contact details on its free plan, may prefer Avery. For a free recruiting toolkit with five job-description analyses per month and modules including scoring and outreach templates, consider HireMIQ. Pin is another option for users seeking a free plan with five weekly contact lookups, one job position, one AI agent, and email-only sequences. Consider Hirin as another recruiting platform. SoWhat AI Recruiting Assistant, Moon, and Phenom Hiring Assistant are other alternatives.

Verdict

Metaview is a strong choice for recruiting teams that want sourcing, interviews, and evaluation to feed into one agent-led workflow, with useful integrations and recording controls. Look elsewhere if your team needs predictable low-cost access at scale: the free profile limit is modest, while paid plans are billed per user and start at higher listed Pro pricing than the separate paid-from figure.
