Overview

Frappe CRM brings lead intake, deal tracking and follow-up work into one system. Teams can capture leads from web forms, incoming email, WhatsApp, Facebook lead ads, manual entry or spreadsheet imports, then convert them into deals and track progress through customizable stages in a Kanban view. That makes it useful for teams replacing spreadsheets with a shared, visible sales process.

Custom fields, statuses and actions let teams fit the CRM to their workflow. This adaptability is valuable when a business needs its own sales stages and data fields, though teams looking for extensive ready-made CRM functionality may find the product too lightweight. Frappe CRM is open source under AGPL-3.0 and can run on a customer’s server or through Frappe Cloud.

Key features

Lead capture and pipeline

The range of intake options gives teams flexibility to collect prospects from several channels. Once captured, leads can become deals and move through stages that the team defines. This is a practical foundation for sales tracking, especially for smaller teams; the published capabilities do not suggest a more complex CRM suite for specialized sales operations.

Workflow automation and integrations

Visual automations can send emails, assign sales reps, update fields or call webhooks. These actions can reduce repetitive coordination when a lead changes status or needs follow-up. Listed integrations include ERPNext, WhatsApp, Meta, Twilio and Exotel, and third-party apps can connect through APIs. Teams whose work depends on a large catalog of ready-made integrations should weigh that narrower named set carefully.

Customization and mobile access

Custom fields, statuses and actions give teams room to adapt the system without being locked to one pipeline design. Frappe CRM also works in a phone browser and can be added to the home screen like an app. That provides mobile access, though the described mobile option is browser-based.

Pricing

Frappe CRM uses a freemium model, with paid hosting options and no per-user pricing. All plans include unlimited leads, deals, contacts and sales agents, so the plan choice is chiefly about hosting and infrastructure rather than seat count.

Self-hosted — free: The AGPL-3.0 licensed option suits teams willing to install and operate the CRM on their own server. It avoids a software charge, but the team manages its server environment.
Sites — 5.00 USD per month: One site, suited to a team that needs a single hosted site.
Servers — 20.00 USD per month: Multiple sites, for organizations running more than one site.
Frappe Cloud Sites — 5.00 USD per month: A single site on shared servers, with managed upgrades and backups. This is the straightforward managed option for a team that wants hosting without server operations.
Frappe Cloud Servers — 60.00 USD per month: Dedicated server isolation, snapshots, autoscaling and global data centre locations. It is the higher-tier choice for teams that need those infrastructure capabilities.

The listed monthly prices are billed onwards per month. Frappe Cloud describes Product Warranty as bug-fix support from Frappe engineers through support tickets; it does not include functional support. Frappe Cloud states that Frappe’s quality and information security systems are certified to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013, and that Frappe Cloud is GDPR compliant.

Platforms

Frappe CRM supports web, Android, iOS, API access and self-hosting. Phone access works through the browser, with an option to add the site to the home screen.

Who it's for

Small and mid-sized sales teams moving beyond spreadsheets are the clearest audience. Teams that value configurable stages, multiple lead-capture routes and a choice between self-hosted and managed deployment can build a practical sales workflow around it. Businesses requiring complex CRM functionality or extensive out-of-the-box integrations should consider another product.
