GTA BOOM reported on October 6, 2026, that the company confirmed the work in an Instagram post, linking the campaign to its first work for Rockstar Games: a Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas campaign in 2004.
Where is the reported GTA 6 mural?
GTA BOOM places the work-in-progress mural at Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street in Williamsburg. The report says the artwork depicts GTA VI characters Jason and Lucia. The confirmation and location are based on GTA BOOM’s account of Colossal Media’s Instagram post; they have not been independently verified here.

Why does the mural mark a 22-year connection?
GTA BOOM reports that Colossal Media described the 2004 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas campaign as its first campaign for its first client, Rockstar Games. The company’s reported Instagram post said: “Twenty-two years ago, we painted our first campaign with our very first client, @rockstargames,” and, “Two decades later, we’re back at it for GTA 6. From Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2004 to GTA 6 in 2026, tradition continues.” The 22-year figure is the calendar-year difference between 2004 and 2026; it does not establish an uninterrupted contract over that period.
How does the Williamsburg location connect to GTA V?
GTA BOOM says a GTA V mural occupied the same corner in 2013. That reported location creates a three-point chronology—Colossal’s stated first Rockstar campaign in 2004, the GTA V mural reported at the Williamsburg corner in 2013, and the current GTA VI work in 2026—but the source does not establish that the same team or an ongoing campaign operated continuously between them.

What the mural announcement does—and does not—confirm
The reported announcement concerns Colossal Media’s marketing work. It does not confirm other murals, a new trailer, a promotional event, or any change to the game. Rockstar’s official GTA VI page lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and gives November 19, 2026 as the scheduled release date. That is the currently listed schedule, not a guarantee that the date cannot change.
