Colorlib Wizard 2 is a free, downloadable front-end form template for accommodation reservation pages—not a complete booking engine. Its four stages guide visitors through dates, room selection, reservation details and confirmation, but a real site must connect the form to a backend or form service to receive and process submissions.

What Colorlib Wizard 2 includes

Colorlib describes Wizard 2 as an accommodation booking template with an image area above the form and overlay text. Its flow has four stages:

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

  1. Date selection: the visitor chooses the stay dates.
  2. Room selection: the visitor selects a room.
  3. Reservation details: the visitor provides booking information.
  4. Confirmation: the flow presents a confirmation stage.

Colorlib says the date fields use the browser’s native date picker, which may display the device’s native calendar interface on mobile. These are the publisher’s descriptions; no independent device testing is established. See the Wizard 2 listing and Colorlib’s wizard roundup.

What changed in the 2026 revision

Colorlib’s September 2026 update describes the download as plain HTML and CSS with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript, without jQuery, Bootstrap files or plugins. Colorlib reports a download size of 208 KB, reduced from 1.9 MB. Those are vendor-stated specifications, not independent measurements or performance results.

The listing also says Wizard 2 can be used on its own or included in a Bootstrap 4, 5 or 6 project. That does not mean Bootstrap is a dependency. Colorlib’s broader roundup says template downloads include an index.html, CSS, JavaScript, images and self-hosted fonts, and advises loading a template stylesheet after Bootstrap when both are used. For this specific template, follow the current download’s files and instructions rather than assuming a framework requirement.

The listing displays “March 15, 2021” as its article date, while its details say “Released: September 2026” and note a September 2026 update. The separate roundup is dated September 28, 2026. These dates describe the listing and revision; they do not establish that the template originally began in 2026. See the current template page for the publisher’s details.

What you must add before accepting reservations

The template supplies a form interface, not the infrastructure that makes a booking. Colorlib says its forms do not send information anywhere by default. To receive a reservation, connect the form submission to an application backend or a form service that you have configured for the job.

  1. Choose where submissions go. Define the backend or form service that will receive and process each submission.
  2. Connect the form. Adapt the form’s submission behavior and fields to the chosen destination; the template alone does not provide that integration.
  3. Validate on the server. Check dates, required fields and other booking rules after submission. Browser-side validation can be bypassed and is not a substitute for server-side checks.
  4. Build the operational flow. Decide how availability, reservation records, confirmation messages and any payment steps will be handled. The template does not establish those capabilities.

No cited Colorlib source documents a verified integration with a named property-management system, payment provider or booking engine. Treat compatibility with a particular service as something to confirm and implement for your own setup, not a built-in feature.

License and commercial use

The Wizard 2 listing labels the template “CC BY 3.0.” Colorlib’s 2026 roundup says its snippets may be used in personal and commercial projects if the credit link is kept. Check the current listing and download for the exact attribution requirement that applies to your use. This summary is not legal advice.

Wizard 2 or Wizard 26?

Colorlib identifies Wizard 26 as another hotel or accommodation booking option. Its roundup describes a dark layout with personal-information, booking and confirmation stages. Choose based on the presentation and form structure that best fit your site, then account for the work required to adapt the fields and connect a backend.

For the alternatives and their descriptions, see Colorlib’s wizard roundup. The collection also includes Wizard 7 for restaurant table reservations and other wizards for event registration and checkout; those target different workflows rather than serving as direct lodging substitutes. Colorlib’s tabs roundup also describes Wizard 2’s hotel booking flow and four vertical tabs.

What is not established

The cited Colorlib material does not provide an independent accessibility audit, browser or device test report, conversion study, or head-to-head usability or performance results. It also does not establish that Wizard 2 stores reservations, checks live room availability, or handles payments. Evaluate those requirements in your own implementation rather than treating the visual template as evidence that they are covered.
