Colorlib’s September 2026 roundup positions V07 for property listings and real-estate agency sites, but the template does not provide a working search engine: you must connect its form to your own results page and backend.
What Colorlib Search Form V7 includes
Colorlib describes V7 as a free advanced search template for integration into projects and customization. Its product page provides preview and download options. The product page uses the name “Search Form V7”; Colorlib’s September 2026 roundup calls the item “Search Form/Bar V07” and identifies property listings and real-estate agency websites as a suitable use case.

The page displays two distinct date fields: its heading is dated March 17, 2021, while its template details say “Released: 2025.” Those labels should not be treated as proof of a particular current file revision. For the current listing, see Colorlib’s V7 template page.
Is it a fit for your website?
V7 is most relevant if visitors need to search a property catalog or agency listings. Colorlib’s product page describes it more broadly as an advanced search template, so the real-estate positioning comes from its later roundup rather than the product-page description.
#1 Best Overall
- HTML CSS Design and Build Web Sites
- Comes with secure packaging
- It can be a gift option
- Consider it when your site has a searchable inventory and you can connect the form to that inventory.
- Keep the search simpler if your site has only a small amount of content or a single useful keyword search. Additional filters make sense only when users need them to narrow a substantial catalog.
- Choose based on interaction pattern: a visible field, a click-to-open field, an inline form, or an overlay can suit different layouts. Search can also be keyword-only or include category and filter controls; the right pattern depends on the site and whether it can support any required JavaScript.
These are selection criteria, not claims that V7 includes every pattern or feature. Check the live preview and downloaded files to confirm the controls and behavior before building around them.
What it takes to make the form work
The template supplies a front-end component, not the search service behind it. Colorlib’s guidance is to point the form’s action to the URL that displays results and make the input’s name match the parameter your backend expects. If either is mismatched—or the destination has no search implementation—the form will not produce relevant results.
Rank #2
- Decide how results are served. Identify the results URL and the query parameter your site’s search handler accepts.
- Connect the form. Set its action to that results URL and give the search input the expected name.
- Test the complete flow. Submit a real query and verify that the results page receives it and returns the intended listings. If filters are present, confirm that each filter is also handled by your search implementation.
Colorlib’s roundup explicitly says the templates are front-end only. The server-side or application code needed to search listings remains your responsibility. See Colorlib’s roundup and integration guidance.
Accessibility and mobile details to handle
Give the search field a programmatic label, either visible or visually hidden; placeholder text alone is not a substitute. For mobile, Colorlib recommends an input font size of at least 16px to avoid iOS Safari zooming when the field receives focus. Test the form at the screen sizes and with the keyboard behaviors your audience will actually use.

Download, dates, and published license terms
The V7 page labels the license “CC BY 3.0.” Colorlib’s September 2026 roundup says its templates may be used in personal and commercial projects and that the credit link should be kept. Treat these as Colorlib’s published terms, not legal advice; verify the current license and attribution requirements on the template page before publishing a customized version.
The download panel asks for an email address and displays marketing-consent language along with an unsubscribe option. The page does not make clear whether consent is required to obtain the download, so review the live download flow rather than assuming either way.
