It gives visitors fields for booking details, but it does not check live room availability, store reservations, take payments, or send confirmations on its own. To accept real bookings, connect it to a booking system, backend, or form service that handles those tasks.
What Booking Form V8 includes
Colorlib positions V8 for room reservations on hotel and luxury resort websites, rather than general-purpose appointment scheduling. Its date-picker description highlights date pickers, dropdowns, floating labels that do not require a library, and a fluid layout intended for mobile and desktop screens. See Colorlib’s booking-form roundup and date-picker roundup for the publisher’s descriptions.

Colorlib says its booking-form snippets use HTML and CSS with a few lines of vanilla JavaScript, without requiring jQuery, Bootstrap files, or date-picker plugins. The template can be used on its own or within a Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 project; these are publisher-stated compatibility details, not a guarantee that every site or customization will work without adjustment. If you embed it in a Bootstrap project, avoid loading duplicate or conflicting styles and scripts.
What it cannot do without a booking system
A form’s appearance is not evidence that a reservation has been made. The template is a front-end interface: a guest may enter dates and other details, but the form needs a connected service to check inventory and process the submission. Colorlib explains that its templates do not themselves handle live availability, payment, or confirmation emails; see its hotel booking website template guidance.
#1 Best Overall
- Availability: Connect the form to a source of current room inventory so guests cannot book rooms that are unavailable.
- Reservation storage: Send submitted values to a booking platform or backend that records and manages reservations.
- Payment and confirmation: Configure these through the connected system if your booking workflow requires them.
- Input validation: Validate submitted values on the server, rather than relying only on checks in the visitor’s browser.
The official descriptions do not establish integrations, APIs, payment gateways, storage design, or security settings for the specific V8 download. Confirm the actual files and the chosen booking system’s requirements before building around an assumed connection.
How to use it on a hotel website
- Get the template and review its files. Check the downloaded archive for the actual HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and accompanying license terms. Do not assume a demo form is wired to your property’s reservation system.
- Place the form where guests need it. Use it on a standalone booking page or incorporate it into the relevant page of an existing site. For a Bootstrap project, Colorlib says the snippet can sit within Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 without loading Bootstrap files specifically for the template.
- Replace demo content with property details. Make the labels, room choices, and other displayed information match the property and the booking data your system accepts.
- Connect submission to a booking workflow. Route the form values to a booking system, backend, or form service. The connection must use real inventory if guests are meant to check availability before booking.
- Test the complete guest journey. Verify that dates and other fields reach the right system, that unavailable inventory is handled correctly, and that any required payment and confirmation steps work before inviting guests to use the form.
Choose the right scope for the site
If the website already has room pages and a reservation system, a front-end form may be a useful way to present booking inputs. If you need a complete hotel website with room listings, galleries, rates, and a reservation section, Colorlib advises starting with a full booking website template and incorporating a form where it fits. A form template and a complete booking site solve different problems.
