Choose CMF for a straightforward mix of focal lengths
Nothing lists a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom and an 8MP ultra-wide on the CMF Phone 2 Pro. That gives it dedicated main, closer-range telephoto and wider-angle cameras on paper. The 2x optical figure describes optical reach; Nothing’s advertised maximum of 20x is digital zoom, not equivalent optical detail.

Choose Phone (4a) for greater optical reach
Nothing positions Phone (4a) around a periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom and advertises up to 70x ultra zoom. Its higher optical zoom figure makes it the more natural pick if you often photograph distant subjects. Digital zoom maxima do not establish image quality, and the available official information does not provide independent head-to-head image tests. Camera preference therefore comes down to the focal lengths you use, not a proven overall image-quality winner.
Display, speed and everyday use
The CMF Phone 2 Pro’s published display and chipset details are specific: a 6.77-inch flexible AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro 5G processor. Nothing’s published specifications are manufacturer claims. The official Phone (4a) product information cited here does not establish enough matching display and processor detail to declare one phone faster or better for everyday use. There is also no verified head-to-head benchmark in the available evidence.

Battery and charging: what can be compared
Nothing specifies a 5,000mAh battery and 33W wired charging for the CMF Phone 2 Pro. Those figures do not by themselves prove real-world battery life or charging time. Comparable Phone (4a) battery and charging specifications were not established in the official information cited here, so there is no sound basis here for naming an endurance or charging winner.

Software support, durability and useful extras
Regional official materials list three years of Android-version updates and six years of security updates for both phone families. The CMF page says its six-year security-patch period starts when the device first became available on nothing.tech. Check the precise terms and support-period start for the SKU sold in your country; a product-family statement is not a substitute for the local retail terms.

Nothing’s Middle East CMF specifications list IP54 dust and water resistance. The cited Phone (4a) information does not establish a comparable rating, so do not assume it has the same protection or is more water-resistant. CMF also has an accessory point with a removable cover. Nothing says the CMF box includes a phone case and a pre-applied screen protector; confirm box contents locally, and verify that any attachment is compatible before purchasing it.
Which one should you buy?
- Pick CMF Phone 2 Pro if its current local price is meaningfully lower for a comparable storage configuration and you want an explicitly specified 2x optical telephoto, an ultra-wide camera, microSD expansion or the listed IP54 rating.
- Pick Nothing Phone (4a) if you value its 3.5x optical periscope reach more than the CMF’s price advantage and can confirm the local configuration, price and support terms.
- Wait to decide if the comparison depends on battery endurance, camera quality beyond the stated zoom hardware, or which phone is faster. The available official specifications do not establish a tested winner on those points.
Phone (4a) open sales began on March 13, 2026, according to Nothing’s community announcement, but a launch date does not prove current stock in your country. Before ordering either model, compare the exact RAM and storage, current local price, stock, warranty route and carrier-band compatibility. Nothing Community announcement.
