Specifications are from the manufacturers’ pages: Nothing’s CMF Phone 1 page and vivo’s X300 FE parameter page. Brightness figures may use different measurement definitions, so they should not be treated as directly comparable. RAM Booster is virtual memory, not additional physical RAM. vivo’s listed configurations differ between its parameter and store pages, making it important to verify the exact SKU before buying.

Which phone has the better display and size?
The CMF Phone 1 has the larger display: 6.67 inches versus 6.31 inches on the X300 FE. Choose it if you want more screen area for video, reading or games. The X300 FE’s smaller diagonal may suit shoppers who prefer a more compact phone, though screen size alone does not establish one-handed comfort. Both manufacturers list 120 Hz refresh rates.

Processor
The X300 FE’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is the higher-tier processor specification on paper compared with the CMF Phone 1’s Dimensity 7300. This is a comparison of manufacturer-listed hardware, not a claim based on matched independent benchmark testing. Nothing’s India product page separately claims a 670,000+ AnTuTu score; that is a vendor-published figure, not an independent comparison.

Rear and selfie cameras
The CMF Phone 1 lists a 50 MP main rear camera and a portrait sensor. The X300 FE lists three rear cameras: a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50 MP OIS telephoto camera and an 8 MP wide-angle camera. That gives the vivo dedicated listed options for telephoto and wider-angle shots. The vivo also lists a 50 MP autofocus front camera, compared with 16 MP on the CMF Phone 1. Megapixel counts and camera specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos; no matched independent camera test is established here.
vivo says its ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 is compatible with the X300 FE and must be purchased separately. Details are on the vivo X300 FE product page.

Battery, charging and water resistance
vivo lists a 6,500 mAh typical battery capacity for the X300 FE, with a 6,350 mAh minimum rated capacity, and 90 W wired FlashCharge. Nothing lists a 5,000 mAh battery and 33 W charging for the CMF Phone 1. The figures indicate higher stated capacity and charging power for the vivo, but they do not establish real-world battery life or charging time, which depend on usage and conditions.
The X300 FE is rated IP68 and IP69; the CMF Phone 1 is rated IP52. vivo describes its IP68 test as immersion in static fresh water up to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes, with the water/device temperature difference under 5°C. These ratings describe stated test conditions, not a guarantee that a phone is waterproof or safe in every exposure. See vivo’s published parameter details.

Design, software and update support
The CMF Phone 1 has a detachable back, replaceable covers and an accessory point for items such as a stand, card case or lanyard, according to Nothing’s product page. This makes its design more configurable than a conventional fixed-back phone. vivo’s official page lists compatibility with the optional telephoto extender, noted above.
Nothing says the CMF Phone 1 ships with Nothing OS based on Android 14 and promises two years of major Android updates plus three years of security updates. The vivo parameter page lists Android 16 with OriginOS 6, but does not state an equivalent support duration. The available specifications therefore do not support a like-for-like update-longevity comparison.

What is the price difference in India?
The available price reports do not form a fair current comparison. Android Central reported an India launch price of ₹79,999 for the X300 FE in its review published May 28, 2026. A 91mobiles comparison result later displayed ₹94,999 for an Amazon listing. These are different contexts, and the available information does not establish whether the difference reflects timing, configuration, retailer offers or listing variation. Neither figure should be treated as a confirmed current price for a matching SKU.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the CMF Phone 1 if a larger display, configurable styling and a lower-priced product tier matter most, and you have confirmed current availability and price.
- Consider the vivo X300 FE if you prefer a more compact display and value its higher-tier listed processor, dedicated telephoto and wide-angle cameras, larger stated battery, faster wired charging and higher IP rating—provided its verified live price fits your budget.
Neither is the universal winner: the better fit depends on whether screen size and modular design matter more to you than the X300 FE’s listed hardware advantages, and on the actual price of the configuration you can buy.
