Their physical Energy Slider adjusts bass or treble, depending on the mode selected in the Nothing X app; they also offer ANC and long manufacturer-claimed battery life, but independent reviews describe their sound and noise cancellation as good for the price rather than premium-class.
Nothing’s US product page showed a $79 sale price when checked for this article’s research on August 18, 2026; other Nothing storefront snapshots showed prices as low as $65–$69. Prices vary by region and promotion, so check the current listing before buying.

Price and key specifications
CMF by Nothing positions the Headphone Pro as a budget alternative to more expensive ANC headphones. They are CMF’s first over-ear headphones, with a closed-back wireless design, interchangeable ear cushions, and Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Light Green color options reported in launch coverage.
| Feature | What to know |
|---|---|
| US launch/list price | $99; launch coverage also listed £79 and €99. Local prices and sales vary. |
| Battery life | Nothing claims up to 100 hours with ANC off or 50 hours with ANC on. Actual life varies with settings and use. |
| Quick charge | Nothing claims five minutes of charging provides up to four hours of listening. |
| Noise control | Hybrid adaptive ANC and Transparency Mode. The advertised “up to 99%” noise reduction is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee for every sound or situation. |
| Audio features | LDAC, spatial-audio Cinema and Concert modes, six EQ presets, custom EQ, and an Audiodo Personal Sound profile through Nothing X. |
| Controls | Energy Slider, volume roller, and a customizable button. Some button functions depend on a compatible Nothing OS device. |
Specifications and manufacturer claims are listed on Nothing’s product page. LDAC requires a compatible source device, and support for a codec or Hi-Res certification does not by itself establish how good headphones sound.

How the Energy Slider works
Calling it only a bass slider is incomplete. The on-earcup Energy Slider adjusts bass or treble, after you select the corresponding mode in the Nothing X app. It is a convenient tone control, not a full multi-band equalizer; use the app’s EQ for more detailed adjustments.
- Connect the headphones and open the Nothing X app.
- Select Bass or Treble mode for the Energy Slider.
- Move the physical slider to adjust the selected range while listening.
- For more precise tuning, choose one of the app’s EQ presets or set a custom EQ.
Bass mode can make music sound fuller, while treble mode can add perceived brightness. The change is not a substitute for detailed EQ, and listeners may find its effect less dramatic than the shorthand “bass slider” suggests. App labels and options can change with software updates.
Sound, ANC, and everyday use
Independent reviews characterize the Headphone Pro’s sound as lively and bass-forward: a good fit for listeners who want an energetic presentation, but not the obvious choice for neutral or analytical listening. SoundGuys says the sound is good for the price while noting limited clarity in the highs; TechRadar also describes the sound as fun rather than maximally detailed. The Energy Slider gives listeners another way to shape the presentation, but does not erase those sound-quality trade-offs.

- 50dB Adaptive Hybrid ANC: CMF Buds Pro 2 ANC earbuds automatically detect noise leakage between the earbuds and your ear canal to ensure optimal noise cancellation performance. With smart ambient sound recognition, they keep you alert during runs and focused in transparency mode.
- Smart Dial & Dual Connection: Customize volume, tracks, and noise modes directly via the smart case dial. Bluetooth 5.4 enables seamless multipoint connectivity, while 120ms low latency gives you a competitive edge in gaming—making these a top choice for Bluetooth earbuds.
- Dirac-Tuned Dual Drivers: Equipped with an 11mm ultra-bass driver and a 6mm tweeter, these noise cancelling earbuds support LDAC lossless audio transmission for rich, detailed sound. Dynamic Bass Boost 2.0 further refines the rhythm, creating an immersive listening experience.
- 6 HD Mics for Clear Voice: Compared to traditional wireless earbuds, the CMF by Nothing Buds Pro 2 triples the audio transmission rate and offers Hi-Res Audio support, preserving sound clarity. AI-enhanced microphones featuring Clear Voice Technology 3.0 ensure natural voice pickup and excellent call quality.
- 43-Hour Total with Fast Charging: Enjoy up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge and 43 hours total with the charging case. A 10-minute quick charge delivers 3 hours of playback—perfect for non-stop gaming, sleep, travel, and commuting. The IP55 waterproof design ensures durability and allows for a quick post-swim rinse.
ANC is a useful budget feature, not a promise of flagship-level isolation. Cancellation depends on the noise: steady low-frequency sounds such as some engine or HVAC noise are generally easier to reduce than voices and sudden sounds. Nothing’s “up to 99%” claim should not be read as a universal real-world result. Android Central and SoundGuys describe the cancellation as competent or adequate for the price, rather than class-leading.
Nothing claims up to 100 hours of playback with ANC off and up to 50 hours with ANC on. The ANC-on figure is the more relevant headline for many commuters, but both figures are “up to” claims; volume, codec, ANC, spatial audio, and other settings affect endurance. Nothing also claims a full USB-C charge takes under two hours. Comfort is personal: head size, glasses, ear shape, clamp pressure, and heat can all affect long-session fit.
Controls, app features, and replaceable cushions
The controls include the Energy Slider, a roller for volume and playback, and a customizable button. Nothing says the button can access supported features such as ChatGPT on compatible Nothing OS devices; do not assume every shortcut is available on other phones. Physical controls are useful when adjusting volume or playback without reaching for a phone, though the Energy Slider’s app setup adds a step.
