Cloud Nine Airshot Pro Adapt Review: Precise Heat Control, With Comfort Still to Prove

The Cloud Nine Airshot Pro Adapt stands out for heat control: Cloud Nine’s Australian listing specifies adjustment from 45°C to 125°C in 5°C increments, with an LED display, a setting lock and memory for the previous temperature. It is listed at 0.4 kg excluding its cord and comes with three magnetic attachments. Those details suggest a lightweight, configurable dryer, but they do not establish how comfortable it feels during a long styling session or how quickly it dries hair.

What makes the Airshot Pro Adapt different?

Its main distinction is fine-grained temperature adjustment rather than a small set of preset heat modes. Cloud Nine says the dryer can be set from 45°C to 125°C in 5°C steps; the selected temperature appears on an LED screen, can be locked with one touch, and is remembered for the next use. These are manufacturer specifications and feature descriptions, not independent measurements of temperature accuracy or hair outcomes. Cloud Nine Australia’s product listing gives the full feature and specification details.

Cloud Nine’s manual page describes the dryer as offering “total temperature control, adjustable from 45°C to 125°C, styling at the exact heat for your hair type.” That is the manufacturer’s positioning, not evidence that a particular setting prevents damage or guarantees a healthier result. Cloud Nine’s product manuals page includes this product description.

How hot does the Airshot Pro Adapt get?

Cloud Nine Australia lists an adjustable range of 45°C–125°C, in 5°C increments. Its product page also provides the following suggested ranges by hair type. These are Cloud Nine’s recommendations, not independently validated safety thresholds.

Hair type Manufacturer’s suggested range
Very fine hair 45–105°C
Fine hair 55–115°C
Medium-to-coarse hair 65–125°C
Chemically treated or relaxed hair 75–125°C
Extensions 45–105°C
Heat-resistant synthetic hair 50–110°C
Human-hair wigs 45–105°C

Cloud Nine advises starting low for extensions and synthetic hair, and using the lowest temperature that achieves the desired result. Follow the care instructions for the hairpiece as well as the dryer’s guidance; the listed ranges should not be treated as a guarantee of suitability for every material or person.

Does its weight make it a comfortable hair dryer?

Cloud Nine lists the Airshot Pro Adapt at 0.4 kg excluding the cord. Woman & Home reported it as just under 400 g and noted a 3 m cord in an article published September 15, 2026. These figures help describe portability and the amount of cord available, but neither establishes balance in the hand, grip comfort, or fatigue during extended use. No firsthand comfort or long-session assessment is established here. Woman & Home’s coverage of Cloud Nine’s Air collection provides the independent editorial context.

The adjustable temperature and display may appeal to someone who wants to choose and repeat a specific heat setting. The manufacturer also describes overheat protection that can adjust performance and temporarily switch the unit off to cool. That is a product feature description, not an independent safety test. There is no independent result established here for drying time, noise, heat consistency, or styling performance, so those points should not be inferred from the 1800W rating or from Cloud Nine’s claims.

Airshot Pro Adapt vs. Airshot Pro

Cloud Nine’s FAQ distinguishes the Adapt by its 45°C–125°C fine-grained heat control and smart screen; the standard Airshot Pro has three temperature settings. Cloud Nine describes both dryers as 0.4 kg excluding the cord and supplied with three magnetic attachments. The available comparison does not establish a current price comparison or differences in measured drying performance.

Check the voltage before buying

The cited Australian listing specifies 230V operation only and advises against using an adapter or converter to run the dryer in another country. This is a material limitation for international buyers: check the product listing for your market and the voltage printed on the specific model rather than assuming the Australian unit is suitable abroad. The Australian specification is on Cloud Nine’s product page.

Who is it for?

The Adapt is most compelling for someone who values repeatable, adjustable heat more than a simple set of preset modes. Its screen and memory are relevant if you want to return to a chosen setting, while the three supplied attachments cover smoothing, diffusing and targeted airflow. The published weight may also be useful when comparing dryers, but a weight specification alone cannot tell you whether the tool will feel comfortable in your hand. Without independent hands-on findings for comfort, drying speed, noise or styling results, those qualities remain unverified.
