The May 2022 instruction manual documents cooling, dehumidifying and fan modes. It rates cooling capacity at 7,000 BTU (2.05 kW); CHOICE rounds this to 2.1 kW. The manual gives the rated cooling-capacity test condition as 35°C dry-bulb and 24°C wet-bulb temperature. Neither source establishes a suitable room size, so capacity alone should not be turned into a room-area recommendation.

Installation: cooling requires an exhaust hose
The manual says the exhaust hose must be installed when the unit is used for cooling. Its illustrations identify a window slider kit, exhaust hose, hose connector and window-slider connector; CHOICE lists a window kit and remote control among the accessories. The manual also identifies an air filter and continuous-drain and drain ports. The available sources do not establish replacement-part numbers or compatibility with separately sold hoses and panels.
Before choosing a location, check that the supplied window kit can be fitted to the window and that the hose can be routed as instructed. The manual warns that the appliance is heavy: “The air conditioner is heavy! Use two or more people to lift and install the unit.”

What the manual says about operation and care
- Leave the appliance upright for at least 12 hours before switching it on.
- Set it on a level, dry surface near an earthed 220–240 V, 50 Hz outlet, and keep air inlets and outlets unobstructed.
- Use the cooling mode within the stated 17–35°C range. The manual cautions against cooling when the ambient temperature is above 35°C.
- The cooling setpoint range is 16–31°C. The manual also describes dehumidifying and fan modes, a sleep function in cooling mode, and auto-start and auto-stop timers up to 24 hours.
- Close doors and windows while using air-conditioning or dehumidification, as the manual advises.
- Clean the air filter about every two weeks, adjusting for use, as directed in the manual.

Availability and how to assess a used or remaining unit
Because CHOICE marks this model discontinued, the listed $279 should be treated only as a historical displayed price. It does not confirm present-day retail availability. If considering a second-hand unit or old stock, check that it powers on, the controls and remote work, the filter and drain areas are serviceable, and the exhaust hose and window components are present and usable. Do not assume an accessory can be replaced with a particular spare unless fit and compatibility are confirmed.

The May 2022 manual’s Australia/New Zealand warranty section says claims must be made within 12 months of purchase, names GSM Retail Group as provider, and directs consumers to Bunnings with proof of purchase. It describes exclusions including misuse or neglect and commercial use, and says the warranty is additional to rights under Australian Consumer Law or New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act, as applicable. As these terms come from a May 2022 manual, confirm current arrangements with the relevant retailer or provider and check the rights that apply in your jurisdiction before relying on them.
