What Cavaliers on DAZN includes
DAZN is the Cavaliers’ exclusive local media-rights partner for the 2026-27 season. In the defined local territory, DAZN carries locally broadcast preseason and regular-season games live and on demand. The package is specifically for Cavaliers coverage; subscribing to DAZN does not automatically provide every basketball game or every national NBA broadcast.

Fifteen Cavaliers games can be watched free in the DAZN app after you create a free account. Every other locally available game requires one of the paid plans. Availability is tied to your viewing location, not simply the address used when you first subscribe.

Who is in the Cavaliers DAZN territory?
DAZN’s listed local broadcast territory covers most of Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and Western New York, plus parts of West Virginia, New York, Virginia and Indiana. The exact boundary is address-sensitive. Before subscribing, enter your ZIP code on the Cavaliers on DAZN signup page to confirm that your current location qualifies.
Travelers and residents near a state border should repeat that check for the location where they are watching. A plan that is valid at home can show different game availability when the service detects another market.

Which games are not on DAZN?
Games selected for exclusive national broadcast are removed from the local DAZN schedule. The NBA’s 2026-27 national outlets are ABC and ESPN, NBC and Peacock, and Prime Video. The Cavaliers’ official schedule lists 17 national-TV appearances, so a local subscriber will need more than DAZN for those dates.
For each national game, use the corresponding streaming application:
- ABC or ESPN: ESPN App (with the required participating-TV-provider or service access).
- NBC or Peacock: Peacock for NBCUniversal games.
- Prime Video: Prime Video for Amazon’s exclusive games.
The NBA schedule’s “Watch On” field is the authoritative way to identify the outlet for an individual tipoff, since assignments can differ from the usual local pattern.

How to watch the 2026-27 season opener
Opening night
Cleveland opens the regular season on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. It is an ESPN game, so it will stream in the ESPN App rather than on Cavaliers on DAZN.

The home opener is Saturday, October 24, 2026, against Brooklyn at Rocket Arena at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Confirm the listing’s “Watch On” entry before tipoff, as the schedule identifies the service for each game.
Watching from outside the local territory
NBA League Pass is the NBA’s primary option for out-of-market, non-nationally broadcast games. It is sold through NBA.com and the NBA App and is also distributed through Prime Video and participating television providers. League Pass remains subject to local and national blackout rules, so check the game listing for your location rather than assuming every Cavaliers game will be available.

- Wilson NBA Team Graffiti Basketball - Cleveland Cavaliers, Size 7 - 29.5"
- NBA Pro Seams: New channel construction suited to player preference
- Performance Cover: Outdoor cover designed for grip on rough surfaces
- Air Retention: A specialized inflation retention lining creates longer lasting air retention.
- NBA Official: Wilson is the official basketball of the NBA. This ball features official NBA branding coupled with the iconic Wilson script.
In practical terms, viewers outside the DAZN territory should check League Pass first. Viewers inside the territory should check DAZN for local games, then switch to the nationally designated app when a game is exclusive nationally.
Supported devices and setup
DAZN supports more than 100 device types, including major smart-TV platforms, phones, tablets, computers, game consoles and compatible streaming devices. Exact app availability can vary by model and operating-system version, so install or update the DAZN app before game day.
- Verify location: Open the Cavaliers on DAZN signup page and enter your ZIP code.
- Select a tier: Choose Season Pass, Monthly Pass, Season Pass Ultimate or Monthly Pass Ultimate, or create a free account to access the 15 free games.
- Install DAZN: Download the app on your supported smart TV, phone, tablet, computer, console or streaming device, then sign in with the account used for the subscription.
- Check the schedule: Before each game, open the NBA schedule and read the “Watch On” field to distinguish DAZN from ESPN, ABC, Peacock, NBC, Prime Video or NBA TV.
- Use League Pass when appropriate: If your ZIP code is outside the local territory, look for the game in NBA League Pass and review any blackout notice.
Common viewing problems
A game is missing from DAZN
First check whether the game is an exclusive national broadcast. If it is listed for ABC/ESPN, NBC/Peacock or Prime Video, DAZN is not expected to carry it. If it is a local game, confirm that the device is reporting your current location and that your subscription is active.

Choosing the right service
| Your situation | Start with | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Inside the Cavaliers local territory; local game | Cavaliers on DAZN | Local rights holder for live and on-demand coverage |
| Inside the territory; exclusive national game | ESPN App, Peacock or Prime Video | National exclusivity removes the game from DAZN |
| Outside the territory; non-national game | NBA League Pass | Designed for out-of-market viewing, subject to blackouts |
| Unsure which service carries tonight’s game | NBA schedule “Watch On” field | Shows the current outlet for that specific matchup |
The Bottom Line
For 2026-27, use Cavaliers on DAZN for locally broadcast games inside the listed territory, with plans starting at $119.99 per season or $19.99 monthly. Keep the ESPN App, Peacock and Prime Video available for the Cavaliers’ 17 national appearances, and use NBA League Pass for eligible out-of-market games.
