Kambrook also lists variable temperature control, fine-mist spray, a shot-of-steam function, an anti-drip system, a collar tip and a self-clean function. The product page displayed A$49.95 when accessed in 2026. That is a page snapshot, not a guaranteed current price or evidence of a retailer offer.
What independent testing does—and does not—show
CHOICE has a listing for the exact KI735 model, but its Expert Rating, performance and ease-of-use scores, pros and cons are behind member access. The public listing is not enough to conclude that CHOICE recommends or rejects the iron, or to judge its crease removal, glide, steam consistency or durability. Kambrook’s smooth-gliding description is a manufacturer claim, not an independently verified result.

There is also a warranty discrepancy: CHOICE’s listing says one year, while Kambrook’s current product page says two years. Check the warranty terms supplied with the particular unit and confirm what applies to your purchase.
Does the KI735 have automatic shut-off?
Do not assume it does. CHOICE’s public KI735 listing says “None observed” for automatic shut-off. Kambrook’s instruction booklet covers both the KI735 and KI785, but specifies automatic shut-off for the KI785 only. The model number matters: features described for the Steamline Advance range are not necessarily shared by both irons.

If automatic shut-off is important to your household, verify it against the exact model’s current manufacturer information before buying rather than relying on the shared range name or booklet illustrations.

The clearest documented difference in the available material is automatic shut-off: the shared Kambrook instruction booklet assigns it to the KI785, not the KI735, and CHOICE reports none observed on the KI735. The booklet also discusses vertical steam in shared instructions, but Kambrook’s KI735 product page does not list vertical steaming as a KI735 feature. Treat that function as unconfirmed for this model unless Kambrook confirms it directly.

For any broader comparison, check the exact model’s current specifications for price and warranty, power and voltage, tank capacity, cord length, soleplate, steam and spray functions, cleaning features, weight and automatic shut-off. Wattage alone does not establish which iron will perform better.

- Fill safely: unplug the iron before filling and do not exceed the tank’s MAX mark.
- Choose water appropriately: the booklet permits tap water unless it is particularly hard; in that case, it recommends distilled or demineralised water.
- Match steam to temperature: use steam at higher cotton or linen settings. Steam at a low temperature may leak from the soleplate because it may not be hot enough to convert the water to steam.
- Use the steam shot as directed: for stubborn creases, the booklet describes the shot-of-steam function and advises waiting at least four seconds between presses for optimal steam quality.
- Clean without abrasives: follow the booklet’s built-in self-clean procedure, and avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on the soleplate.
Who should consider it?
The KI735 may suit someone looking for a corded household iron with a relatively large listed tank, a long cord, variable temperature control, spray and steam functions, and a self-clean feature. The available sources establish those specifications, but not how the iron compares in real-world ironing performance.
