CHiQ positions the CRSR125DB as a single-door retro-style bar fridge in black. Its listed 125L net capacity is divided between 110L of refrigerator space and a 15L ice box. Inside, the maker specifies one glass shelf, one door basket and a 15L crisper with a glass cover. The manual also identifies a door pocket rack and door bottom rack.

How much space does it need?
The cabinet itself is 494 mm wide, 847 mm high and 551 mm deep. Those are product dimensions, not a guarantee that the fridge will fit a particular alcove once clearance and installation needs are considered. CHiQ’s listed ventilation guidance is 5 cm at each side and 5 cm behind the unit. Check the supplied manual and the retailer’s installation requirements before placing it in a tight space; CHOICE’s published installation recommendations are wider and deeper than the product dimensions.

What is known about cooling, noise and energy?
CHOICE identifies the CRSR125DB as tested in 2025, but the public version of its review page does not reveal the Expert Rating or detailed test scores. Its visible information includes a claimed annual energy use of 121 kWh and a 3.5-star rating. The 121 kWh figure is a published claim, not a bill estimate; electricity cost depends on your local tariff and how the fridge is used.
The public page does not provide a measured noise result or detailed performance findings. So the available evidence does not establish how evenly the fridge holds temperature, how it responds to warm conditions, or how loud it is in use. CHiQ’s “low-noise” wording should not be treated as an independent measurement.

If you are comparing compact fridges, useful evidence includes measured temperature stability and evenness, usable temperature range, performance in warm ambient conditions, measured noise in dBA, energy consumption, usable storage layout and ventilation requirements. A score or result for those categories cannot be inferred from a tested-year label alone.
Warranty and ownership details
CHiQ’s specification sheet states a three-year refrigerator warranty. It describes ten years of total compressor parts coverage: three years of parts and labour, followed by seven years of parts-only coverage. CHOICE also lists a three-year warranty. Check the current warranty terms and exclusions for the unit and retailer you are considering.

The manual covers temperature control, defrosting, lighting, cleaning, door reversal, relocation and troubleshooting. Follow it for setup and care instructions rather than attempting repairs to the sealed refrigerant circuit; the model uses R600a.
Is the CHiQ CRSR125DB worth considering?
It is a plausible option if you want a black retro single-door fridge and its 125L layout, including a small ice box, suits your needs. Its published dimensions, energy rating and warranty terms give you concrete points to check before buying. But if your decision depends on verified cooling consistency, noise or a strong independent test result, the public information available here is not enough to establish those qualities. Compare the full test results where accessible, and confirm current price, stock, installation clearance and warranty conditions before purchase.
