Despite the headline’s “one sign” wording, its forecast names two favorable signs. Its day-pillar label also conflicts with several calendar references, so the date’s astrological details should be read as interpretations, not settled facts or reliable predictions.

Rabbit and Goat: favorable ratings
The article rates Rabbit and Goat Good / 吉. Its themes for them include cooperation and momentum. That means the headline’s reference to “one sign” is not a clear account of the body: two signs receive positive ratings.

Why the day-pillar label is disputed
The Hindustan Times article identifies October 3 as 辛亥 (Xin Hai), or Metal Pig day. KnowYourBaZi, chineselunarcalendar.org and KarmaWeather instead identify the date as 庚戌 (Geng Xu), or Metal Dog day. These sources therefore do not agree on the day pillar; the article’s Metal Pig label should be attributed to that article, not treated as an independently confirmed calendar fact.
KnowYourBaZi lists the date as lunar month 8, day 23, in the Fire Horse year, and notes that almanac interpretations can vary with the calendar method used. The Hong Kong Observatory’s conversion table identifies 2026 as Bing-wu, the Year of the Horse, and provides the Gregorian-lunar calendar framework. Those calendar references can clarify date conventions, but they do not establish that a horoscope forecast will come true.

How to read the forecast
Chinese zodiac horoscopes and almanac readings are cultural and astrological interpretations, not scientifically established forecasts of an individual’s future. Even the consulted horoscope accounts differ in their calendar attribution and interpretive emphasis. Treat the sign ratings as entertainment or a prompt for reflection, not as a basis for consequential decisions about money, work or relationships.
