China Resources Building Materials Technology Holdings’ Hong Kong-listed shares closed at HKD 1.02 in the latest snapshot dated Oct. 15, 2026. Against a 52-week low of HKD 0.90, that is 13.33% above the low—not the 11.11% stated in the supplied headline. The difference may reflect another timestamp or market-data feed. The company is due to report again on Oct. 23, 2026, after a sharply weaker first half.

What the percentage means

The calculation is straightforward: the share price was HKD 0.12 above the HKD 0.90 52-week low, and HKD 0.12 represents 13.33% of HKD 0.90. The same Oct. 15 snapshot placed the stock 50.49% below its 52-week high of HKD 2.06.

Share price (Oct. 15, 2026) HKD 1.02 Hong Kong-listed ordinary share
52-week range HKD 0.90–HKD 2.06 Snapshot-specific trailing-year range
Distance from low 13.33% Calculated from HKD 1.02 versus HKD 0.90
Distance from high 50.49% below Calculated from HKD 1.02 versus HKD 2.06

An earlier snapshot on Oct. 7 showed HKD 0.92, only 2.2% above the same HKD 0.90 low. That change illustrates why “above the yearly low” can move materially within days. The 11.11% figure was not reproduced by the retrieved market snapshots, so it should be treated as a feed- or timestamp-specific number rather than a confirmed current measure.

What China Resources Building Materials does

China Resources Building Materials Technology Holdings Limited manufactures and sells cement, concrete, aggregates and related construction materials in mainland China. Its shares trade on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under ticker 1313; the reported ISIN is KYG2113L1068.

Why the next earnings report matters

The next reported earnings date is Oct. 23, 2026. Investors will be watching whether weak selling prices, rather than a collapse in physical shipments alone, continue to depress revenue and margins.

First-half financial deterioration

  • Turnover was RMB 8.64 billion, down 15.4% year over year.
  • The company recorded a RMB 441 million loss attributable to owners, versus a RMB 307 million profit in the first half of 2025.
  • Consolidated gross margin fell to 8.3% from 18.5%.
  • Normalised second-quarter 2026 EPS was negative HKD 0.04, compared with negative HKD 0.03 in the first quarter.

Volumes held up better than prices

Reported first-half volumes were 25.1 million tons of cement products, 8.0 million cubic meters of concrete and 35.6 million tons of aggregates. Average selling prices declined 16.6% for cement, 18.6% for concrete and 15.5% for aggregates. The combination means shipment activity remained substantial while lower realised prices squeezed revenue and profitability.

How to read the stock move before results

A small rebound is not a turnaround signal

Trading above a 52-week low only describes price position within a recent range. It does not establish that earnings have recovered, that margins have bottomed or that the valuation is attractive. With the latest reported quarter still showing a loss, the market’s reaction will depend on forward commentary and updated operating data.

Key items to check in the Oct. 23 release

  • Whether cement, concrete and aggregate prices stabilised or fell further.
  • Whether volume growth offset any additional price pressure.
  • Gross-margin direction from the 8.3% first-half level.
  • Progress from a first-half attributable loss toward break-even.
  • Any change to management’s outlook for mainland Chinese construction demand and capacity utilisation.

Peer and risk context

A meaningful comparison with other building-materials companies should use the same-date data for distance from the 52-week low and high, earnings direction, gross margin, selling-price trends relative to volume, market capitalisation, valuation, dividend policy and the next reporting date. Coverage cited BBMG Corporation and Anhui Conch Cement as possible peers, but their quoted figures are snapshot-specific and should not be mixed with a different date for ticker 1313.

The principal near-term risk is continued price deflation: even stable or rising shipment volumes may not prevent losses if average selling prices keep falling. Conversely, evidence of price stabilisation, improving margins and less negative EPS would provide a stronger basis for judging whether the share has moved off its low for fundamental reasons rather than market noise.

Bottom line for readers

On the most recent available snapshot, the shares sat modestly above their annual trough, while the operating data remained weak. Treat the 11.11% headline as unconfirmed against the later 15 October reading, and use the 23 October earnings release to test whether pricing and margins—not just the share price—are beginning to recover.
