A report dated October 6, 2026 put China Construction Bank at €1.09, unchanged from its prior close—but described the quote as after-hours on Lang & Schwarz, not pre-market. The report listed a €1.08 bid and €1.10 ask at 8:49 p.m. CEST. It does not independently verify the quote through a primary exchange feed, so treat the figure as a timestamped secondary-market report, not a universal or current CCB share price. Ad Hoc News
What does the €1.09 quote actually refer to?
The available report attributes the price to Lang & Schwarz after-hours trading on October 6, 2026. It says the price was unchanged, or 0.00%, versus the prior close at the time of its report. The quoted bid was €1.08 and the ask €1.10. A last or reference price, bid, and ask are different figures: the bid and ask indicate the prices shown for buying and selling, while the reported €1.09 is not enough by itself to establish an executable trade price.

The report does not identify the underlying CCB security line or explain how the euro denomination was derived. It should not be presented as an official opening price, a quote for every CCB share, or a live price now. The report is secondary coverage rather than an independent primary quote feed.
Which China Construction Bank shares are being quoted?
China Construction Bank Corporation has two domestic share lines identified by the issuer: Hong Kong H-shares and Shanghai A-shares. The issuer lists the H-shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board under ticker 939, and the A-shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange under ticker 601939. Its investor FAQ gives listing dates of October 27, 2005, for the H-shares and September 25, 2007, for the A-shares. China Construction Bank’s investor FAQ

Those are distinct listings, so a price is meaningful only when its instrument and market are clear. The report’s €1.09 figure does not establish whether it represents either listed line or another market representation.
What “pre-market” means for Hong Kong shares
For Hong Kong securities, the pre-opening session is an auction process, not simply a generic period before a European market opens. China Construction Bank (Asia) says orders accumulate during the pre-opening session and are matched during a defined matching period at the final Indicative Equilibrium Price. That description is useful for understanding Hong Kong market terminology, but it does not explain the Lang & Schwarz euro quote or prove that the quote was made during Hong Kong’s pre-opening session. The reported session was after-hours.

How to check a CCB quote before relying on it
When a quote appears under a short label such as “pre-market,” verify the fields that determine what it describes:
- Security: Check whether the instrument is H-share 939, A-share 601939, or another representation.
- Venue and provider: Identify where the quote is displayed and whether it comes from an exchange, broker, or secondary quote service.
- Timestamp and session: Confirm the date, local time, and whether the figure is pre-opening, regular-session, or after-hours. Session labels are not interchangeable.
- Currency: Establish whether the quote is denominated in euros or converted from another currency, and what conversion basis is used. The available report does not explain this.
- Price field: Distinguish the last or reference price from the bid, ask, and prior close.
These checks matter because the €1.09 report supplies a time and venue but does not resolve the underlying instrument or currency conversion basis.
Does 0.00% mean the stock did not move?
No. In the October 6, 2026 report, 0.00% means the reported price was unchanged against the prior close used for that comparison. It does not establish that no trades occurred, that the bid and ask were unchanged, or that the share carries no investment risk. The reported €1.08–€1.10 spread also shows why a single unchanged figure is not the whole market picture.

Company size is not a live share-price check
China Construction Bank’s investor-relations profile reports market capitalisation of approximately US$265,545 million at the end of 2025. That is historical company context with a specific as-of date; it does not verify a euro quote from October 2026 or establish a current valuation. China Construction Bank’s investor-relations profile
