The Childcare Twin Nix is a side-by-side double stroller that CHOICE marks as discontinued. CHOICE’s public review page lists specifications but keeps its rating and detailed test results for members, so the public information does not establish whether the stroller performed well or earned a recommendation.
What CHOICE’s review does—and doesn’t—show
CHOICE identifies the Twin Nix as a six-wheel stroller with one seat suitable for a newborn and a recommended maximum weight of 17 kg per child. Its public listing also gives two baskets, each rated for 5 kg, and records China as the country of origin.

The page’s expert rating and detailed outcomes—including performance, safety and durability results—are member-only. CHOICE lists manoeuvrability and folding among its test categories, but the publicly visible information does not reveal the scores. There is therefore no basis in the public review details to describe the Twin Nix as a tested winner or to make a performance recommendation.

The CHOICE listing and historical CNP Brands product-description material do not agree on the stroller’s weight or dimensions. Neither source explains whether the difference reflects a measurement method, configuration or another factor, so the figures should not be combined or treated as interchangeable.

Features described by the manufacturer
The 2017 CNP Brands product description presents the Twin Nix as a stroller intended for families with twins. It describes design features rather than independently verified performance findings:

Availability and accessories
CHOICE marks the model discontinued. That does not establish whether a used stroller or leftover stock can be found in a particular location, and the CHOICE listing’s $280 price does not establish a current selling price.

The Twin Nix instruction manual states: “There are no accessories recommended for use with this Childcare Twin Nix Stroller.” The available model-specific material does not establish compatibility for any particular accessory, so do not assume that an add-on made for another stroller will fit.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to check if you’re considering a used Twin Nix
Because the public review does not expose its detailed test findings and the model is marked discontinued, assess the individual stroller rather than relying on the model name alone. Before using a second-hand unit, check the manual and the stroller’s condition, and confirm that its labels and supplied instructions match the exact model.

- Inspect the frame, wheels, folding mechanism, brakes, harnesses and seat recline adjustments for damage or incomplete operation.
- Confirm that both seats and baskets are present and that you can operate the fold and brakes as intended.
- Check the stated child and basket limits against the labels or manual for that unit; do not exceed them.
- Ask whether the manual is available and whether the stroller has been repaired, modified or involved in an incident.
- Look for current, model-specific safety or recall information from an appropriate authority before use; the public CHOICE listing alone does not provide a safety-test result.
For a comparison with another double stroller, use confirmed details for the exact model: folded dimensions, weight, child limits, newborn suitability, fold and carry practicality, manoeuvrability, basket capacity, safety-test evidence and current availability. The Twin Nix information available here does not support naming a comparative winner.
