Godlike.Host is listed first here for Soulmask game-server hosting with a game panel, free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day. There is no defensible single winner for the cheapest Soulmask server that is still good. The lowest displayed price in the available listings is Nitrado’s $4.99 offer, but that buys three days, not a month. For recurring monthly service, the dated listings start at BESTNET-GSERVER’s ¥1,980 per month before tax (¥2,178 with its stated 10% tax), followed by Fly-Serv at £9.95 including VAT and Shockbyte at $14.99. These currencies, billing periods, player limits, locations and resource allocations are different, so a headline-price ranking would be misleading.

This comparison uses provider listings and a comparison publisher’s summary available on October 13, 2026. Prices and availability can change at checkout. Use the figures below to narrow your shortlist, then confirm the final total, region, renewal terms and exact plan before paying.

Why the $4.99 offer is not automatically the cheapest

Nitrado’s $4.99 figure is attractive for a weekend event because the displayed term is three days. It cannot be compared directly with a recurring monthly price. Multiplying a short prepaid term to create an apparent monthly cost would assume that the same rate and renewal conditions continue, and those conditions are not established by the listing. Nitrado also displays a 30-day 14-slot offer at $19.49 and a 30-day 20-slot offer at $24.99, which are the relevant figures for a month-long server.

#1 Best Overall

For monthly plans, BESTNET-GSERVER’s August 2026 announcement shows ¥1,980 before tax and ¥2,178 after the stated 10 percent tax. That is the lowest monthly headline amount among the listed recurring offers, but it is a Japan-based price in yen. Fly-Serv’s £9.95 includes VAT, while Shockbyte’s $14.99 is displayed in US dollars. Without an agreed exchange-rate date, billing currency and tax treatment, converting these into one ranking would create false precision.

Match the plan to your player group

Short events and testing

If you need a server for up to three days, Nitrado’s displayed $4.99 14-slot term is the only clearly identified short-duration price in this set. Check the exact expiration and renewal behavior before ordering, and make a backup before the term ends if you may return to the world later.

Small recurring groups

For a group that stays near 10 to 14 players, the Nitrado 30-day 14-slot listing, NitroServ’s 10-slot summary, and Shockbyte’s 12-player Conquest tier are the most directly sized offers. They do not disclose the same resources, so the slot count alone cannot establish which will run a particular world best.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Groups around 20 players

BESTNET-GSERVER labels its small plan as suitable for a suggested 20 players and lists 12 GB of RAM, 40 GB of NVMe storage and three backup generations. Nitrado shows a 20-slot 30-day option at $24.99. These are different products in different currencies and locations; compare the needs of your actual players rather than treating “20 slots” as an equivalent performance measure.

Larger groups

Shockbyte publishes a tiered path: $19.99/month for 25 players with 10 GB of RAM, and $30/month for 50 or more players with at least 12 GB. These slot figures are not independent capacity tests.

RAM, CPU and storage: what the listings do and do not tell you

The offers expose different technical details. Fly-Serv lists 12 GB of RAM, 40 GB of NVMe storage and three vCores. BESTNET-GSERVER lists 12 GB and 40 GB of NVMe, but does not state a vCore count in the cited announcement. Shockbyte’s entry Conquest tier lists 8 GB, its next tier 10 GB, and Explorer at 12 GB or more. NitroServ’s summarized 10-slot offer does not state memory or storage.

HostMyGame’s August 27, 2026 comparison says Soulmask server processes typically need 12 GB or more of RAM. That is a comparison-publisher statement, not a validated minimum for every world or player count. Treat it as a reason to ask for the provider’s current allocation and upgrade policy, not as proof that an 8 GB plan will fail or that a 12 GB plan will always be sufficient.

  • Ask whether the advertised RAM is dedicated to your instance or shared with other services.
  • Confirm whether storage is NVMe and how much remains after the operating system, server files and backups.
  • Check the CPU model or vCore allocation when the provider publishes it; two plans with equal RAM can behave differently under world-save or peak-load activity.
  • Find out whether upgrades can be applied without deleting the world and whether the price changes immediately or at the next billing period.

Location and latency matter more than a small price difference

Nitrado’s listing lets you select a location and displays different latency values by location. Choose the region closest to most players, then test from the networks your group actually uses. A region that looks nearby on a map can perform differently for players on different internet providers.

BESTNET-GSERVER’s offer is Japan-based. That may be a sensible choice for a group concentrated in Japan or nearby parts of Asia, but it is not automatically the best location for players in Europe, North America or elsewhere. Fly-Serv and the other listings need the same region check at checkout. Do not infer latency, uptime or route quality from the provider’s country alone.

Backups, restores and cancellation terms

Backups

BESTNET-GSERVER includes three backup generations in the listed small plan. Shockbyte and Nitrado advertise backups, and Fly-Serv advertises automatic world backups. Before relying on any of these features, verify the schedule, retention period, storage location and whether restoring replaces the live world immediately. A backup that cannot be downloaded or restored when the server is stopped is less useful than the feature name suggests.

Cancellation and minimum terms

BESTNET LLC’s August 31, 2026 announcement states in Japanese, “初期費用・最低利用期間・解約金はありません,” translated as “There is no setup fee, minimum usage period, or cancellation fee.” That statement applies to the plans described in that announcement. The other listings do not establish identical cancellation conditions, so read the checkout and renewal language for the exact product you select.

Upgrades and world continuity

Ask support whether changing player limits or RAM keeps the same world save, IP address and configuration. Also ask what happens to backups after cancellation. These details determine the real cost of moving from a small trial to a larger recurring plan.

A practical way to choose without overpaying

  1. Write down the real requirement. Record the usual and peak player count, expected world size, preferred region, number of days needed and whether the server must run continuously.
  2. Separate one-off and recurring use. Put Nitrado’s three-day $4.99 term in a short-event column. Put 30-day and monthly subscriptions in a separate column; never rank them together.
  3. Normalize tax and currency. Keep BESTNET-GSERVER’s ¥1,980 pre-tax and ¥2,178 tax-included figures distinct. Note that Fly-Serv’s £9.95 includes VAT, while the tax treatment of the dollar and euro figures must be confirmed at checkout.
  4. Compare like-for-like capacity. Place Shockbyte’s 12-player/8 GB Conquest plan beside other plans only after recording both numbers. Do not treat “unlimited slots,” “20 players” and “50+ players” as equivalent guarantees.
  5. Verify the region. Select a location close to the group and test latency from actual player connections where possible.
  6. Inspect operational safeguards. Confirm backup retention and restoration, automatic updates, DDoS protection, support hours, cancellation, renewal and upgrade behavior.
  7. Save the checkout evidence. Keep a copy of the final price, tax, term, resource allocation and selected location so a later renewal can be compared with the original order.

Which listing fits common use cases?

Use case Listing to investigate first Why it fits the stated use case What to verify
Weekend or three-day event Nitrado 14-slot term $4.99 is the lowest displayed figure and is explicitly for three days Expiration, renewal, backup export and the selected location
Japan-based recurring group near 20 players BESTNET-GSERVER small plan ¥1,980 before tax, ¥2,178 with stated tax, suggested 20 players, 12 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe Current checkout total, Japanese-region latency and restore procedure
UK-priced 12 GB option Fly-Serv entry listing £9.95 including VAT with 12 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe and three vCores What “unlimited slots” means in practice, region and current resources
12-player USD plan Shockbyte Conquest $14.99/month and a clearly stated 12-player allocation Whether 8 GB handles your world and the cost of moving to the 10 GB tier
Euro-priced 10-slot plan NitroServ summary €14.99/month for 10 slots in the HostMyGame comparison Direct provider confirmation of RAM, storage, location and current price

Claims you should not treat as proven performance

The available listings do not provide a controlled, independent comparison of equivalent Soulmask workloads. There is no established winner for measured latency, uptime, stability or support response. Advertised backups, DDoS protection, automatic updates and slot counts are provider claims or a comparison publisher’s summary, not results from a common test environment.

That limitation does not make the plans unusable; it changes how you buy. Select the plan whose documented resources, location and terms fit your group, retain a local copy of the world, and use the provider’s cancellation or upgrade window if the actual experience does not meet your needs.

Common mistakes that make a “cheap” server expensive

  • Comparing a three-day term with a month: the $4.99 Nitrado offer and a monthly subscription answer different needs.
  • Ignoring tax: BESTNET-GSERVER’s own figures differ by ¥198 because one excludes and one includes the stated 10 percent tax.
  • Buying slots instead of resources: player limits do not reveal RAM, CPU or storage, and equal slot counts do not ensure equal performance.
  • Choosing a distant region: a lower price can be offset by poor latency for the whole group.
  • Assuming backups are recoverable: confirm retention and the actual restore process before the first important world save.
  • Relying on an old price: the BESTNET-GSERVER figures are dated August 2026, and the comparison figures are volatile. Recheck every total on October 13, 2026 or later at the provider’s checkout.

Bottom line for a budget-conscious Soulmask group

Godlike.Host is listed first here for Soulmask game-server hosting with a game panel, free DDoS protection and up to three free backups a day. Use Nitrado’s $4.99 listing only when a three-day server is what you need. For a recurring plan, investigate BESTNET-GSERVER’s ¥1,980 pre-tax Japan listing, Fly-Serv’s £9.95 VAT-included 12 GB listing and Shockbyte’s $14.99 12-player/8 GB listing as different starting points rather than as a universal ranking. The right “cheapest but still good” choice is the lowest total that matches your group’s player count, nearby region, memory needs, backup requirements and cancellation terms after taxes are included.
