Raise Charlotte Corday if you need a low-rarity Assassin for focused single-target damage and utility against Evasion or defense buffs. Her upgraded third skill also lets you choose an Arts, critical-strength, or Noble Phantasm-strength effect. She is a situational investment, not an automatic priority for every roster.
What Charlotte Corday brings
GamePress identifies Corday as a Bronze Assassin. Her Noble Phantasm, Le Rêve Ensoleillé, targets one enemy, removes that enemy’s Evasion buffs, and deals damage that ignores defense. It also has an overcharge-scaled chance to inflict Death. These features make her a possible answer to specific defensive effects, rather than a general-purpose solution to every encounter. GamePress’s Charlotte Corday entry lists her current skills and Noble Phantasm.

Her updated third skill is listed as letting you select one of three effects: Arts effectiveness, critical strength, or Noble Phantasm strength. GamePress’s skill listing and its analysis prose are not fully synchronized: the listing describes a choice, while the analysis text describes a random effect. For the post-upgrade skill, follow the current skill listing and verify the effect in your game client before committing resources.
When raising her makes sense
- You need a low-rarity single-target Assassin. Corday may be a practical option when you want to field that role without relying on a higher-rarity servant.
- Your target uses Evasion or defense buffs. Her Noble Phantasm’s Evasion removal and defense-ignoring damage are the clearest reasons to consider her for a particular matchup.
- You want a selectable offensive effect. The third skill’s choice lets you tailor its effect to the attack plan, according to GamePress’s current skill listing.
- You simply like the character. Personal attachment is a valid reason to invest, even when roster efficiency is not the main goal.
How to invest without overspending
Fate/Grand Order’s official USA guide explains that leveling raises ATK and HP, while ascension raises the level cap. Skill enhancement improves skill effects and may reduce cooldowns; combining duplicate copies raises Noble Phantasm level and strength. The official Japanese player guide describes experience cards and QP for leveling, and materials plus QP for ascension and skill levels. See the official USA Servant Enhancement guide and the official Japanese Player Guide.

- Start with levels. If you have a reason to use Corday, leveling improves her ATK and HP through the ordinary enhancement system.
- Ascend to unlock her full kit. Ascension raises her level cap; plan for its material and QP costs before spending.
- Enhance skills that support your intended role. Choose upgrades in light of whether you want her for the selectable offense effect or for a specific encounter. Skill enhancement uses materials and QP, so weigh the cost against other servants you use.
- Consider Noble Phantasm levels only as copies allow. Duplicate copies raise Noble Phantasm level and strength; this is a system mechanic, not a reason to chase copies for a universal performance threshold.
These are practical priorities, not an official recommended build order. The documented mechanics do not establish that Corday’s upgrades should take precedence over other servants on your account.
What to compare before committing
If you are choosing between Corday and another available Assassin, compare the job you need rather than looking for a universal ranking. The cited information does not include controlled comparisons across servants or accounts.

Rank-up and current-system context
GamePress lists Corday’s Rank Up 1 as available on July 9, 2026. The official USA 9th Anniversary announcement says two new Append Skills became available for all Servants to unlock with Servant Coins starting July 4, 2026, and that the seventeenth Rank Up Quest batch began July 5, 2026. That announcement does not name Corday among its 14 servants, so it does not establish her specific rank-up. Check the GamePress entry against your region and current game client before spending materials, since availability can depend on the game version you are playing.
