CBH Group has opened nominations for three Member Director positions in its 2027 election: one each in Districts 1, 3 and 5. Candidates can nominate through the Candidate Assessment Panel (CAP) process or use the later nomination window without CAP participation. The deadlines are different: CAP nominations close at 12 noon on 29 October 2026; non-CAP nominations close at 12 noon on 4 January 2027.

What are the 2027 nomination deadlines?
CBH’s current election page sets out two nomination periods. Choose the applicable route and make sure the nomination is lodged before its closing time.

Both routes are nomination paths for the same Member Director positions. The later window is for candidates who do not wish to participate in CAP; it is not a different role.
What does the Candidate Assessment Panel process involve?
CBH says CAP participation is mandatory for incumbent directors and strongly encouraged for other candidates. Candidates taking part complete a self-assessment, submit a resume and attend an interview. The panel assesses candidates against the skills and attributes sought by the CBH Board.
CBH describes CAP as a three-person, majority-independent panel made up of one CBH Member Director and two external members. The process followed a 2020 governance review. Its purpose is candidate assessment, not choosing the election winner: CBH’s 5 October 2023 Member Director election announcement stated, “It is important to note that the CAP will not recommend a preferred candidate or candidates.” CBH’s 2024 announcement also said the CAP report would be provided to members ahead of voting and that the panel would not recommend a preferred candidate (2024 election announcement; 5 October 2023 announcement).

The accessible 2027 election information does not establish voting dates, ballot method or detailed voter eligibility. Confirm those details in the Candidate Information Pack or with the Returning Officer rather than relying on prior election information. CBH’s 2024 announcement also stated that candidates did not need to have their main growing interests in the district where they intended to nominate, but because that condition is not restated in the current 2027 page information, candidates should verify whether it applies to this election with the Returning Officer (2024 election announcement).
