Whip-based movement and combat
The Vampire Killer whip is central to both fighting and traversal. Konami describes swinging with the whip to move through the environment, alongside fast-paced combat. That points to a design in which the iconic weapon serves more than its traditional combat role; how it feels in play is something a preview based only on official information cannot determine.

Konami announced an opening-stage demo on 1 October 2026 for PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. The official US demo page explains the save-transfer conditions.
To transfer demo progress to the full game, Konami says the demo and full game must be played on the same platform and account, the demo save must be retained, and the full game must be updated. A save on one platform should not be assumed to carry across to another.

What this preview can—and cannot—establish
Konami’s announcements set out the premise, platforms, demo, feature list and published technical specifications, but they do not establish how the game performs in practice or how its combat and exploration feel. Until there are independent hands-on assessments, treat the frame-rate figures as publisher specifications and the gameplay details as announced features rather than tested conclusions.
