The game’s listed Windows 11 requirement makes those devices a plausible compatibility path, but it does not prove smooth performance. The reports describing problems concern the pre-release demo, mainly on Steam Deck.
Will it run on ROG Ally or an Intel handheld?
Possibly, but compatibility and performance are different questions. A guide citing the game’s Steam listing reports a Windows 11 requirement, along with an Intel Core i5-8400 minimum processor, 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1650 minimum graphics card, DirectX 11, and 10 GB of storage. Those are listed PC requirements, not handheld benchmarks or a promise of a particular frame rate. See the reported PC requirements.

Meeting the stated operating-system requirement does not show how the game will run on a specific handheld. The available evidence does not establish performance for any ROG Ally or Intel handheld model, nor does it support recommendations for settings, frame rates, battery life, or a preferred device.

What do the Steam Deck reports actually tell us?
The reported complaints come from players trying the pre-release demo, not from controlled tests of the full game. One Steam Deck player described variable frame rates, periods in the 50s, stutter despite a high displayed frame rate, and cropped menus. That account is useful as a warning about issues to check, but it is one player’s experience—not a result that applies to every Deck, or that can be transferred to ROG Ally and Intel devices. Why a Steam Deck rating cannot answer the Windows handheld question
Valve’s compatibility program classifies games as Verified, Playable, Unsupported, or Unknown for Steam Deck. Valve says Unknown means it has not checked the game for Deck compatibility; its review considers input, display, seamlessness, and system support. A Deck rating can inform expectations for the Deck experience, but it is not a rating for Windows handhelds such as the Ally or Intel-based models. What to check before choosing a handheld
Wait for tests of the released game on the exact model you intend to use. A useful comparison should identify the hardware and test conditions rather than treating “ROG Ally” or “Intel handheld” as a single performance profile.
- Exact handheld model and processor, plus its operating system and driver version.
- Power profile, resolution, and graphics settings used during the test.
- Frame-rate consistency and stutter—not just a peak or displayed frame rate.
- Whether menus and text fit the display and remain legible at handheld resolution.
- Battery draw, with the power profile and test conditions stated.
- Game version, test scene, and whether results are from the demo or the full release.
The game’s stated release date is October 15, 2026. On October 13, the performance reports available here are still pre-release demo evidence, so a full-game comparison is not yet established.
