As of October 4, 2026, Nintendo’s US store estimates 4.2 GB for Switch and Switch 2; Nintendo UK lists 2.9 GB for Switch; and Nintendo Australia lists 2.8 GB for both consoles. KONAMI separately lists higher “Minimum Required Capacity” figures by edition, which are not the same label as Nintendo’s download-size estimates.
Official Nintendo size listings by region
The figures below are regional storefront listings, not a verified universal installed size. Nintendo’s US page calls its number an estimated game file size; the UK calls it download size, and Australia calls it game file size.

Yes. KONAMI says, “The physical version requires an additional download from the online store.” The Midnight Edition is available physically or digitally, while the Standard Edition is listed as digital. The Midnight Edition includes a Digital Sound & Art Gallery and three in-game bonuses in addition to the main game. The publisher’s notice does not state the size of the required additional download. How much free storage should you leave?
For planning, use the figure shown by the Nintendo storefront for your region and console, and leave room for the higher KONAMI minimum-capacity figure applicable to the edition if you want a more conservative allowance. Neither listing establishes the final installed footprint. Nintendo says actual required free space can be more or less than its displayed estimate, and preorder sizes may change before release. The sources do not establish that this game requires a separate memory card.
