Konami lists the opening-chapter demo for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The Xbox Store listing specifies Xbox Series X|S; it does not list Xbox One. Konami publishes these minimum capacity figures for the demo. They are not a guarantee that an installation error is caused by storage, nor should they be treated as the download’s exact size.

Check the free space shown by your console or PC against the figure for your platform. If there is enough room and the download still stops, the published capacity figures do not identify the cause; note any error message and where the process fails.

Steam lists the following Windows requirements for Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. The page does not label these as demo-only requirements, so treat them as the game’s published requirements rather than a separate demo specification.

Compare your PC with the Steam listing rather than assuming that meeting one specification rules out every launch issue. Keep the two storage figures distinct: Konami’s demo page lists 4 GB for Steam, while Steam lists 10 GB available storage among the game’s requirements. Neither source identifies a particular cause for a failed launch.

The official information available from Konami and Steam does not give a confirmed, game-specific crash or black-screen procedure. It also does not establish whether a particular crash is caused by the game, the device, or another issue. Avoid relying on unverified launch parameters or social-media suggestions as proven fixes.

When demo progress will not transfer

- Sign in with the same account used to play the demo.
- Keep the demo save available.
- Update the full game to its latest version before transferring.
Some demo content may be restricted from transfer. Konami Digital Entertainment B.V.’s October 1, 2026 announcement states: “The demo and full version must be played on the same platform and with the same account.”

Konami’s October 1, 2026 announcement says the demo launched that day and gives October 15, 2026 as the full-game release date. Steam lists October 14, 2026 on its store page. These are the dates shown by the respective listings; the available sources do not explain the difference.
