Casio’s limited-edition Oceanus Manta OCW-SG1000MC-1AJR pairs a titanium case and bracelet with a black-and-white marble ceramic bezel whose pattern varies from watch to watch. Casio announced a Japanese suggested retail price of ¥748,000 including tax, a November 13, 2026 launch in Japan, and a production run of 300 pieces. The launch date is still in the future as of October 7, 2026.
What makes the OCW-SG1000MC distinctive?
Casio calls the design theme “Ocean Surge.” Its centerpiece is a ceramic bezel made by mixing black and white ceramic, molding the mixture, then sintering, cutting and polishing it. The resulting marble pattern differs from piece to piece; Casio describes blue-green glints where the two colors meet. The bezel has 24 facets and a curved top surface. The dial is glossy black ceramic, while an engraved spiral on the caseback is intended to evoke a swell or current. Casio’s October 6, 2026 announcement describes the variation as a result of the material and manufacturing process, not individual hand-painting.

Casio says ceramic offers high scratch resistance and that DLC surface treatment helps protect the titanium exterior. Those are manufacturer descriptions, not a guarantee that the watch is scratch-proof; no independent durability testing is established here.

How it compares with the previous SG1000 limited edition
The most direct comparison is the 2025 OCW-SG1000CN Manta, which used an Edo Kiriko-cut sapphire bezel. Casio’s October 7, 2025 announcement listed it at ¥682,000 including tax in Japan, with 600 pieces and a November 14, 2025 release. The 2026 marble-ceramic model’s Japanese launch price is ¥66,000 higher, and its announced run is half the size. Those launch figures do not establish present-day availability, resale value or relative demand.
| Model | Bezel | Japanese launch price, including tax | Announced quantity | Announced release |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OCW-SG1000MC-1AJR (2026) | Variable black-and-white marble ceramic | ¥748,000 | 300 | November 13, 2026 |
| OCW-SG1000CN (2025) | Edo Kiriko-cut sapphire | ¥682,000 | 600 | November 14, 2025 |
The earlier model’s figures are from Casio’s October 7, 2025 announcement. The practical distinction is the bezel material and finish: ceramic with a variable marble effect here, versus cut sapphire on the predecessor.
