Capital One’s live page advertises 20,000 bonus miles after $500 in purchases within the first three months. This is a one-time offer, and the issuer says it may be available only through the Apply Now flow on that page. Applicants who received a new-cardmember bonus for VentureOne, Venture or Venture X within the prior 48 months are ineligible for this offer. Check the application page before applying because the offer may change.

How many miles do I earn with VentureOne?
The card earns 1.25 miles per dollar on net purchases. Eligible hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel earn 5 miles per dollar. Hotel incidentals, upgrades and other costs not booked through the portal earn the standard rate instead.
Qualifying Capital One Entertainment ticketing purchases can also earn 5 miles per dollar. The application terms exclude certain presales and direct venue ticketing, so check the terms for a specific purchase rather than assuming every entertainment ticket qualifies.

How does the VentureOne 0% intro APR work?
The introductory APR is 0% for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers. After that period, the linked application disclosure lists a variable APR of 18.74%, 24.74% or 28.74%, depending on creditworthiness. The rates can change with the Prime Rate, and the APR offered to an applicant depends on the issuer’s review.

What is the VentureOne balance transfer fee?
A balance transfer posted at the introductory APR during the first 15 months carries a fee of 3% of the transferred amount. The application disclosure says later promotional-APR transfers may carry a 4% fee; a transfer at the purchase APR after the first 15 months has no transfer fee under that disclosure. Capital One determines transfer eligibility at its discretion, and balances from Capital One-issued accounts cannot be transferred to this card.
For example, a $1,000 transfer subject to the 3% introductory fee would incur a $30 fee. Consider that cost alongside the interest you expect to avoid and your repayment schedule. Cash advances are different: the disclosed cash-advance APR is 28.74% variable, and the fee is $5 or 5% of the advance, whichever is greater. A late payment can incur a fee of up to $40.

How can I redeem VentureOne miles?
Capital One describes two travel-focused options: book through Capital One Travel, or use miles to cover an eligible past travel purchase made elsewhere. For the latter, redeem within 90 days after the purchase posts. Portal travel redemptions are calculated from the trip cost; other redemption options can have varying rates, and their value may change.
Capital One says miles do not expire while the account remains open. Unredeemed rewards may be lost if the account closes. Transfers to external travel loyalty programs are not guaranteed for every account: eligibility depends on the rewards product and selected program, so confirm available transfer options in the account before relying on them.

Who is VentureOne best suited to?
VentureOne may fit someone who wants a no-annual-fee travel rewards card, can use a 15-month introductory APR period, and expects to book eligible stays or rental cars through Capital One Travel. The trade-off is a 1.25-mile-per-dollar standard rate, which is less compelling for someone prioritizing everyday earning. Anyone likely to carry a balance beyond the introductory period should weigh the applicable variable APR against the value of the rewards.
When comparing cards, look at the annual fee, everyday and bonus earning rates, portal-booking requirements, intro APR duration and eligible balances, transfer fees, ongoing APR, welcome-offer threshold, redemption flexibility, foreign transaction fees and your own approval prospects. The terms available here establish VentureOne’s features, but do not support a full competitor-by-competitor ranking.
What credit score do you need to get VentureOne?
Mastercard labels the displayed credit tier “Excellent or Good,” but a score label is not an approval promise. Mastercard says a credit score alone does not guarantee approval, and Capital One says applications are subject to its credit standards and review. No particular applicant’s approval odds can be determined from the published tier alone.
