If you can’t sign in to the FC 26 Companion App, first make sure you’re using the EA Account linked to your FC 26 profile. If that’s correct, recover the account if necessary, then check whether you’ve entered Ultimate Team in the full game on PC or console. An app sign-in problem is different from being able to sign in but not access the Transfer Market.
Start with the EA Account linked to your FC 26 profile
The Companion App uses the EA Account associated with your game profile, so a different email or EA Account can cause a sign-in failure. EA’s FC 26 Web and Companion Apps guide explains how the apps work and points players to the account linked to their game.

If you’re unsure which account that is, check the account details in your EA Account settings. On supported PlayStation and Xbox games, you may also be able to find the EA Account or Connected Accounts section in the game’s settings. EA’s guide to finding your EA Account email describes these options.
Recover the email or password if the account is right but sign-in fails
Use EA’s account recovery guidance if you can’t remember the password or can’t access the account. The password reset flow accepts the account email or EA ID. You can also try signing in with a linked platform account, such as PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam, Apple, Facebook, or Google.

If you can’t access the email address on the EA Account, first try to recover it through your email provider. If you still can’t get into the EA Account, contact EA support. Have linked platform usernames and purchase invoice information available if you can; they may help with account recovery.
Check the FC 26 in-game requirement
EA’s FC 26 guide says that after November 14, 2025, at 11:59:50 PM UTC, players needed to log in to Ultimate Team in the full FC 26 game on PC or console at least once to continue using both the Web App and Companion App. If you haven’t done that with the account you’re trying to use, enter Ultimate Team in the full game and then retry the app.

This is a time-bound requirement stated for FC 26; it may not apply to a later game. Also, EA’s wording specifies the full game, so a trial or showcase version may not satisfy the requirement.

A successful app sign-in with no Transfer Market access points to a different issue from rejected login credentials. EA says market access can depend on eligibility earned through play, or be restricted separately for an account. Read the message shown in the app and check the email associated with the EA Account for information from EA. Some blocked accounts may still be able to use the in-game market.

Try the community suggestion only if it matches your error
In a 2026 EA Forums discussion titled “FC 26 Companion App Login Unavailable – Since Launch,” a Community Manager advised a player seeing “Login Unavailable – We’re currently having trouble with login services” to enter Ultimate Team in the full game on PC, quit Ultimate Team, wait a few minutes, and then try the app. This is guidance for that reported case, not a guaranteed fix for every login problem. The forum reply also cautioned that a trial or showcase version would not work for that user’s issue. Read the EA Forums discussion.

If the account email and linked-platform sign-in options don’t restore access, use EA’s account recovery instructions to contact support. If EA reports that your credentials have expired, its error guidance recommends resetting the password; if that doesn’t resolve the problem, wait 90 minutes before trying again. That wait applies to the expired-credentials case, not every Companion App error.
