The Canon PIXMA G3670 is a refillable-ink home printer that prints, copies and scans. Canon Australia lists Wi-Fi, USB-B and mobile-printing support, plus estimated yields of up to 6,000 black pages and 7,700 colour pages. Those figures are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed household results; no independent hands-on test of the Australian G3670 is established here, so print quality, reliability and real-world running costs cannot be judged from the specifications alone.
What the Canon PIXMA G3670 offers
Canon Australia positions the G3670 as a home 3-in-1 MegaTank: it prints, copies and scans, using refillable ink tanks rather than conventional cartridges. Its listed connections are Wi-Fi, camera direct and USB-B. Canon also identifies Canon PRINT, Apple AirPrint and Mopria support. A 1.35-inch LCD provides a small on-device display.

The listing specifies a maximum resolution of 4800 × 1200 dpi and document speeds of 11 images per minute (ipm) in black and 6 ipm in colour. These are Canon’s stated specifications, not results from an independent speed or quality test. A maximum resolution alone does not establish how text, graphics or photos look in practice.

Ink yield: useful estimates, not promises
The G3670 uses Canon GI-61 bottles: GI-61BK black, GI-61C cyan, GI-61M magenta and GI-61Y yellow. Canon estimates up to 6,000 black pages and 7,700 colour pages. These are manufacturer estimates based on Canon’s individual method, the ISO/IEC 24712 colour chart and continuous-printing simulation using replacement bottles after initial setup.
#1 Best Overall
- Wireless Print/Copy/Scan
- Up to 2 years of ink included (2)
- Print up to 6,000 black & white / 7,700 color pages using a single set of inks! (1)
- Save up to $1,000 on ink (1)
- 1.35” Square LCD display
Canon says the supplied ink produces fewer pages initially because some ink is used to fill the print head. Actual yield varies with the material printed and other usage factors, so the estimate should not be treated as a guaranteed number of pages for a household. A meaningful cost-per-page comparison also needs current Australian bottle prices and a realistic mix of print jobs; without those inputs, a precise running-cost figure would be misleading.
One operational detail matters: Canon says ink must be available in every tank for all functions, including copying, printing and scanning. Check the current product information or manual if you expect to keep using the scanner or copier while a tank is empty.

Paper handling and document workflow
Canon lists A4, A5, A6, B5, Letter and Legal among the supported paper sizes, as well as photo sizes. The listed capacity is 100 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of 4 × 6-inch photo paper. Named photo-paper types include Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss, Photo Paper Glossy and Matte Photo Paper. Check the current manual for exact media-weight limits and borderless-printing restrictions before buying paper for a particular job.
Recommended Free Tools
The cited product listing names print, copy and scan, but not fax. An automatic document feeder (ADF) and automatic duplex printing are not established by the cited specifications. If you regularly scan multi-page documents or need the printer to print both sides automatically, confirm those features in the current Australian manual rather than assuming they are included.

Maintenance and ownership
Canon lists the MC-G04 as a user-replaceable maintenance cartridge and explicitly includes the G3670 among compatible models. That gives owners a named replacement part for maintenance, but Canon’s cited information does not establish an expected service life or replacement interval. Do not assume a particular maintenance schedule from the part’s compatibility alone.
Canon Australia’s product page displayed an RRP of AUD $369 when accessed in 2026 and notes that products are sold through retailers, where prices vary. Treat that as a dated manufacturer-listed RRP, not a current street price; check Australian retailers for the price available when you buy.

Is the Canon G3670 worth buying?
The G3670 is a plausible fit if you want a home printer with refillable tanks, printing, copying and scanning, wireless and mobile-printing options, and the ability to replace its listed maintenance cartridge yourself. Its advertised yields may help with planning, provided you account for Canon’s test method, initial setup ink and the effect of your own print mix.
The available specifications do not settle whether it is fast or economical in your workload, how good its output looks, or how reliably it performs over time. Those questions need direct testing or evidence from a trustworthy owner review. Before choosing it, check the live local price, GI-61 bottle prices, and whether the current Australian manual confirms the workflow features you need—especially an ADF and automatic duplex printing. If those are essential, do not rely on their absence or presence being inferred from a short product listing.
