When does the Jellynauts event start in Candy Crush?
King’s announced 2026 Spooky Season runs from October 12 to November 9, 2026. The season centers on the Jellynauts causing trouble in Candy Town and trapping characters that players must help rescue. Seasonal changes to the game and map accompany the limited-time activities.

What is the Halloween Horde?
The Halloween Horde is the story-driven Saga Adventure in this year’s event. It is listed as available from level 11. King describes progression through Saga Adventure levels while players rescue friends from the returning Jellynauts.

A contemporaneous report describes an Expedition structure in which each level involves rescuing a trapped friend, followed by a final confrontation involving Mr Toffee. It also reports Jellynauts as blockers and green jelly-repelling gumball machines. Those mechanics should be treated as reported details rather than universal specifications until they appear in your current game or a more detailed official guide.
How to access it
- Reach level 11 or higher in Candy Crush Saga.
- Open the game during the announced October 12–November 9 season window.
- Look for the Halloween Horde or Saga Adventure event entry on the map or event screen.
- Follow the in-game objectives to advance and rescue the trapped friends.
King has not stated that reaching level 11 guarantees the feature on every account. If it is missing, update the app, restart it, and check again later; availability can be controlled by account or rollout conditions.

The Spooky Scenes collection is listed for players at level 50 and above. It contains 81 Pins across nine themed sets. The pins are a collection objective, separate from the rescue adventure and the tournament.

How does the Gold Heist tournament work?
Gold Heist is the competitive part of the season and is listed for level 25 and above. The announced tournament window is October 26 through November 5, 2026, divided into three rounds:

Will every Candy Crush player get the same event?
Not necessarily. King’s 2026 announcement gives level thresholds but does not say that all accounts receive identical features. During the 2025 Spooky Tour, a King Community manager said a small test group was being used and acknowledged that some players did not have the feature. That earlier variation does not prove how the 2026 rollout is being handled, but it is a reason to avoid assuming universal access.

Do you have to pay to join Spooky Season?
Candy Crush Saga is free to play with optional in-game purchases. The available listing and King’s event announcement establish that paid items exist in the game, but they do not state that buying boosters, lives, Gold Bars, or another item is required to enter Halloween Horde, collect Spooky Scenes Pins, or attempt Gold Heist.
Any purchase prompt is therefore a separate in-game option, not evidence of an event-entry fee. Review the item and price shown in the game before confirming a transaction.
What is different from the 2025 Jellynauts event?
The Jellynauts also returned in 2025, when King promoted a Spooky Tour that used regular levels to move players along a map toward timed reward stops. That description is historical context, not a specification for 2026. This year’s announcement instead highlights Halloween Horde, Spooky Scenes, seasonal map changes, and Gold Heist.
