In the 2026 edition, the two headline activities ask you to play in fundamentally different ways: Halloween Horde is a Saga Map progression and rescue activity, while Gold Heist is a timed Purple Candy leaderboard tournament. Your level, the event calendar and the rules shown in your account determine which activity you can enter.
The practical distinction is simple: play levels and rescue friends in Horde; collect Purple Candies and place high enough on a leaderboard in Gold Heist. The 2026 Spooky Season runs from October 12 through November 9, while Gold Heist occupies a separate October 26–November 5 window. These dates and requirements belong to this edition and should not be treated as a permanent annual schedule.

At a glance: what actually changes
| Activity | What you do | How progress is measured | Access and schedule | Reward wording |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Halloween Horde | Play Saga Map levels and rescue friends | Advance through the Saga Adventure; rewards are earned along the way | From level 11; part of Spooky Season, October 12–November 9, 2026 | The announcement promises “sweet rewards” but does not list every item in that section |
| Gold Heist | Collect Purple Candies | Leaderboard score across qualifier, knockouts and final | From level 25; October 26–November 5, 2026; round boundaries are at 09:00 CET | A chance to win 250 Gold Bars as the grand prize |
| Music Season 2026 | Play Saga Map and special levels while making records | Collect records and complete sets over four episodes of around 60 levels | August 31–October 5, 2026; this edition has ended | Boosters, Gold Bars and profile rewards; complete collection included 200 Gold Bars |
| All Stars 2025 | Collect All Stars Candies | Stage leaderboards; top performers advance through rounds | Historical 2025 rules required level 5+, age 18+ and residence in a listed country | Boosters, Gold Bars, exclusive rewards and a chance at the Live Final |
The comparison comes from King Community’s official announcements for Spooky Season 2026, Music Season 2026 and the All Stars 2025 FAQ. The table separates current Jellynaut activities from older formats so rules from one event are not accidentally applied to another.

Jellynauts in Spooky Season 2026
The official announcement presents the Jellynauts as mischievous characters who have taken the Gold, then places two distinct activities inside the wider Spooky Season. “Jellynauts” therefore describes the theme and story wrapper. It does not tell you whether an activity uses level progression, collection, rescue objectives or competition. The activity name on your event panel is the important label.
#1 Best Overall

- Pop jewelry, crush and blast puzzles - challenge yourself!

- Find the maleficent antagonist and reveal his secret, find out the Mystery!
- Save an old town from the curse - bring joy to the dwellers!
Halloween Horde: a progression-and-rescue activity
Halloween Horde is built around the ordinary Saga Map. You move through eligible levels and rescue friends as you advance through the Saga Adventure. The event is listed as available from level 11. Its progression is not described as a player-versus-player ranking: the announcement says rewards are earned along the way, rather than awarded only to a small leaderboard group.
That changes the decision you make in play. A player working on Horde should prioritize completing levels and the rescue objective instead of trying to maximize a separate candy total. The source calls the prizes “sweet rewards” but does not enumerate every reward in the announcement section. Do not assume that an item shown in another Candy Crush event is part of Horde unless the in-game reward panel or current terms names it.
Gold Heist: a three-round leaderboard tournament
Gold Heist uses a different verb: collect. Purple Candies are the scoring objects, and your total is used to place you on a leaderboard. The event is listed from level 25, so reaching the level gate is necessary but does not guarantee that the activity will appear on a particular account.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Unlike Horde’s level-and-rescue path, Gold Heist is organized as three competitive stages. Players first enter a qualifier, then a knockout stage, and finally the final. Advancement depends on leaderboard performance. The announcement does not publish the exact number of players who advance, the score cutoffs or every lower-tier reward, so those details must come from the event screen or its terms when the tournament is live.
Gold Heist dates, rounds and the 250-Gold-Bar prize
The 2026 calendar divides Gold Heist into these windows:
Rank #2
- Unique puzzles on square and hexagonal fields!
- Challenging gameplay and exciting levels!
- Fantastic worlds! Bright graphics!
- Incredible power-ups and bonuses!
- Relaxing music and sound effects!
- Qualifier: October 26–29.
- Knockouts: October 30–November 2.
- Final: November 3–5.
Round starts and ends are scheduled for 09:00 CET. If your local clock uses another time zone, convert the 09:00 CET boundary rather than relying on midnight in your region. A score earned after a round closes cannot be assumed to count toward the previous stage.
The headline reward is easy to overread. King Community describes a chance to win 250 Gold Bars as the grand prize. It is not a guaranteed 250-Bar payment for entering, collecting one Purple Candy, qualifying or completing all three rounds. The announcement also says more tournament details are forthcoming; because advancement cutoffs and the full prize ladder are not stated there, no reliable table of qualifying scores can be supplied in advance.
How to approach the tournament
- Check the event panel before each stage for the current leaderboard, countdown and advancement language.
- Play levels that let you collect Purple Candies consistently; a high ordinary level score is not automatically a high Gold Heist score unless Purple Candies are counted.
- Record the displayed closing time in your own time zone, especially near a stage boundary.
- Read the prize and tie-break wording in the live panel. The public announcement confirms the grand-prize possibility but not every ranking rule.
How the 2026 activities differ from Music Season
Music Season 2026 is a useful recent comparison because it also used the Saga Adventure, but its collection loop was not the Jellynaut loop. The season ran from August 31 to October 5, 2026 and is therefore a past event rather than a currently active alternative.
Its Saga Adventure was described as four episodes totaling around 60 levels. Players made records by completing the relevant levels and special levels, then collected those records into sets. The stated collection goal was 15 records. Collection rewards included boosters, Gold Bars and profile rewards, with a complete-collection grand prize that included 200 Gold Bars.
The important difference is the progress object. Horde asks you to advance and rescue; Music Season asked you to create and collect records; Gold Heist asks you to gather Purple Candies for a ranking. The fact that both activities use Saga Map levels does not make their counters interchangeable. A record collected in Music Season would not be evidence of progress in a Jellynaut event.

How All Stars differs from Gold Heist
All Stars 2025 is the closest historical comparison for the competitive side because it also used special candies and staged leaderboards. Its published rules said players collected All Stars Candies, competed on stage leaderboards and advanced through rounds based on performance. Rewards included boosters, Gold Bars, exclusive rewards and a chance at a Live Final.
Those rules came from the 2025 event, not from Gold Heist. In particular, the All Stars FAQ listed eligibility of at least 18 years of age, level 5 or higher and residence in a participating country. You should not transfer those age or country requirements to Gold Heist unless the 2026 Gold Heist terms state them.
The historical FAQ also warns that not all players have access to every event. That is useful context for a missing event, but it is not proof of a specific Jellynaut rollout policy. Your account’s event panel and the current terms control.
Other Spooky Season content: the Spooky Scenes collection
Spooky Season includes more than the two activities above. The announcement says the Spooky Scenes collection contains 81 Pins across nine themed sets and is available from level 50. This is a collection threshold, not the level requirement for Halloween Horde or Gold Heist. A player can therefore be eligible for one seasonal feature without meeting the level gate for another.
Because the announcement does not give a complete item-by-item reward schedule for every Spooky Scenes set, use the collection screen for the exact pin, set and reward currently offered to your account. Do not infer that completing a set advances the Gold Heist leaderboard or the Horde rescue path.

Eligibility, availability and dates: what to verify
There are three separate checks whenever an event is missing or behaves differently from a guide:
- Level gate: Halloween Horde is stated from level 11, Gold Heist from level 25 and Spooky Scenes from level 50. These are activity-specific thresholds.
- Calendar window: a feature can be absent simply because its scheduled period has not started or has ended. The season dates do not mean every activity runs for the entire season.
- Account rollout and terms: historical event documentation says availability can be limited. The current event panel, regional terms and account-specific display are more authoritative than a general announcement.
Dates, level gates and reward descriptions are edition-specific. Future Spooky Season editions may change the names, scoring objects, thresholds, schedule or prizes.
What to do when you cannot see an event
Do not assume that a missing tile means you have lost progress or failed a hidden challenge. Work through this checklist:
- Confirm your Saga Map level against the activity’s stated gate. Being below the threshold explains why the tile is unavailable; being above it only makes you eligible to be considered.
- Check the calendar. Gold Heist is not scheduled for the whole Spooky Season, and each of its three stages has its own opening and closing time.
- Open the event tab and read the eligibility or terms link. Look for regional, account or participation limits rather than relying on screenshots from another player.
- Close and reopen the game, then check the event panel again. This can refresh a panel that has not loaded, but it cannot create an event outside its published window.
- Use the support route provided in the game if the event should be active for your level and date but remains absent. Include your game version, device, region and account level without posting private account information publicly.
Community comments can show that rollout experiences differ, but anecdotes do not establish a universal eligibility rule. The live panel and official terms remain the proper source for an individual account.

Choose the Halloween Horde path when it is available. Its stated objective is to play Saga Map levels and rescue friends, and its rewards are earned along the route. Your progress is tied to completing the adventure rather than beating a published leaderboard cutoff.

If you want a competitive prize opportunity
Gold Heist is the relevant activity. Purple Candies determine leaderboard placement, and advancement is staged. Treat the 250 Gold Bars as a possible top prize, not a promised return for time spent.
If you are comparing it with a collection event
Use Music Season as the model for record-and-set collecting, not as a rulebook for Jellynauts. Its 15-record goal, four-episode structure and 200-Bar complete-collection prize belonged to that ended 2026 edition.
If you are comparing it with an older tournament
All Stars demonstrates the staged-leaderboard format, but its 2025 age, level and country rules are historical. Verify any current Gold Heist eligibility statement in the 2026 terms.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Calling Jellynauts one event: the theme contains separate activities with separate objectives.
- Using the wrong scoring item: Purple Candies belong to Gold Heist; records belonged to Music Season; All Stars Candies belonged to All Stars 2025.
- Assuming every participant wins 250 Gold Bars: the wording is a chance at a grand prize.
- Applying old eligibility rules: All Stars’ 18-plus and country requirements are not automatically Gold Heist requirements.
- Confusing season dates with activity dates: the Spooky Season window is broader than the Gold Heist tournament window.
- Inventing advancement cutoffs: the public announcement does not state the score needed to reach each Gold Heist stage.
- Treating a level gate as a guarantee of access: the gate is a published minimum, while rollout and account terms may still affect visibility.
Bottom line for players
For Spooky Season 2026, start by identifying the activity name, not just the Jellynaut artwork. Halloween Horde is the level-and-rescue route from level 11. Gold Heist is the level-25 Purple Candy tournament, split into three 09:00 CET rounds and offering a chance at 250 Gold Bars. Spooky Scenes adds a level-50 pin collection, while Music Season and All Stars are useful comparisons only when their historical rules are kept separate.
When a date, prize or eligibility detail matters, trust the event panel and current terms for your account. The official announcement establishes the broad format and calendar, but it does not publish every leaderboard cutoff or every reward tier.
