What YouTube confirms—and what it does not
YouTube allows creators to set a live stream’s visibility to Members only. The creator can make it available to all paid members or select eligible membership levels. Members are notified as they are for public broadcasts, while non-members can see the stream’s thumbnail and metadata but cannot watch it. See YouTube’s members-only live-stream guidance.

That establishes that members-only live streaming is a supported feature. It does not establish that YouTube expressly approves continuous 24/7 playback of prerecorded videos in that format. The existence of a visibility setting should not be treated as permission for every kind or duration of content.

YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. It warns that a stream exceeding 12 hours “may not be captured at all.” A 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be expected to produce a complete replay or archive. How members-only access works
Start the stream as members-only
When configuring the live stream, set its visibility to Members only and choose whether all paid members or particular membership levels may watch. Non-members may see the listing information, but not the live video. Consult the current YouTube instructions for the available setup path in your account.
Switch an already-live public stream
YouTube also documents switching a public live stream to members-only while it is already live. You choose the eligible membership levels and a countdown of 1, 5, 10, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. The countdown gives non-members an opportunity to join before access changes. The transition is unavailable on vertical live streams, and YouTube’s instructions describe initiating it while live—not scheduling it in advance.

Separate the policy, copyright, and monetization checks
Live-stream rules and rights
YouTube requires live-stream content to follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Its live-stream terms also require the content provider to have the rights needed to use the material, including music licensing rights, and to comply with applicable laws. Before streaming prerecorded video, confirm that you have the necessary rights to every relevant audiovisual element, including music, footage, and other third-party material. Monetization is not guaranteed by members-only access
Being able to start a members-only stream does not guarantee that it will qualify for monetization. YouTube applies its channel monetization policies to live streams. Its policy calls for original, authentic content and says highly repetitive or mass-produced material without meaningful creative, educational, or other value may be ineligible. Reused content is a separate concern when material is republished without significant original commentary, substantive modification, or educational or entertainment value. Choose a format based on what matters most

Keep a YouTube stream running without leaving a computer on
If you decide to attempt prerecorded 24/7 playback, a computer-based encoder is one possible approach, but it does not change YouTube’s policy or archive qualifications above. YouTube supports encoder streaming; a webcam is relevant only if you choose its webcam method. The exact encoder setup depends on your software and account. Follow the current YouTube encoder setup instructions, and avoid assuming that a successful connection means the format is approved, monetizable, or fully archived.
