1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsShort answer: the title currently points to Harry Potter: Defenders of Hogwarts, a physical MinaLima board game for 2–5 players—not a downloadable PC game. No official Windows, macOS or Linux system requirements, executable, PC edition or hardware benchmark have been identified, so there is no valid CPU, GPU, RAM or operating-system comparison to perform.
Before checking your computer, confirm that this is the product you mean. If you are looking at a different Harry Potter game, use its exact store or publisher listing and its own requirements; do not apply specifications from another title to the Defenders of Hogwarts board game.

What the name currently describes
The best-supported identification is a tabletop product called the Defenders of Hogwarts board game. MinaLima developed it with industrial designer David Waterman, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. Its advertised player count is 2–5 people around a physical game, not a PC multiplayer specification.
Some search results use inconsistent language and one secondary article calls the product an RPG. The more specific guide result and announcement coverage describe a physical board game. That distinction matters: a boxed board game does not install on a computer and therefore does not have minimum or recommended PC specifications.

Why a normal PC compatibility check does not work here
PC compatibility advice requires a software build and a published requirement set. Typically, you compare your computer’s processor, graphics hardware, memory, operating-system version and available storage with the developer’s minimum and recommended figures. None of those figures has been published for this title in the available material.
| What a PC check normally needs | Status for Defenders of Hogwarts | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| Downloadable PC edition or executable | Not identified | Do not download files claiming to be a PC build without an authenticated publisher or retailer source. |
| Windows, macOS or Linux support | Not stated | Do not infer support from the board game’s player count or release plans. |
| Minimum CPU, GPU and RAM | Not stated | There is no defensible hardware comparison. |
| Recommended settings or benchmark | Not identified | No computer has been validated for this title. |
| Online or local PC multiplayer details | Not applicable to the physical product description | Treat “2–5 players” as a tabletop attribute only. |
This is not the same as proving that a PC adaptation can never exist. It means that no supported PC version was found in the available evidence, so claiming that a particular computer can or cannot run it would be speculation.

- Co-operative play for up to 3 players
- Adventure game based on the visual elements of the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film
- Game features Harry, Ron, and Hermione as playable characters
- All-new spell-casting system allows multiple players to combine spells
- Confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy waters, and navigate a vast, dangerous maze
- Read the complete product name. Confirm that it says Harry Potter: Defenders of Hogwarts, rather than a similarly named game. Keep the subtitle, punctuation and platform label.
- Check the product format. A board-game listing should describe a box, physical components, a ruleset and a player range. A PC listing should show a download or activation method, supported operating systems and a system-requirements section.
- Look for a legitimate platform label. An authenticated store page normally identifies Windows, macOS, Linux, console or mobile platforms. If a page has no platform and no publisher information, it cannot establish PC compatibility.
- Check the publisher and creators. The identified product is associated with MinaLima, David Waterman and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. A third-party page that cannot connect the listing to the licensed product should not be treated as proof of an official computer edition.
- Do not use a different game’s specifications. A title with “Hogwarts” or “Harry Potter” in its name may be a separate product with unrelated technology and requirements.
What is actually known about release timing
Licensing Magazine’s June 4, 2026 announcement coverage described a limited release in autumn 2026 followed by a global launch in spring 2027. Those are announced plans, not confirmation that a PC edition exists, that every region has stock, or that a particular retailer can ship the game today.
A ZowGame guide checked October 12, 2026 reported that the original Kickstarter campaign ended July 23, 2026 and mentioned an October 8 late-pledge update. The same report cautioned that an update about late pledges does not prove that orders remain open. Availability, edition, language, shipping, taxes and delivered price therefore need to be confirmed with the seller at the time you buy.
If you meant a different PC game
If your goal is to play a Harry Potter title on a computer, stop at the naming check and locate the exact product page for that other title. Then use this process:

- Play as Harry, Ron and Hermione, switching from one player to the next
- Face opponents such as Sirius Black and the Dementors
- Unravel the mystery behind the wizard prison
- Exciting sub quests
- For 1 or 2 players
- Open the official store or publisher page. Confirm the platform and edition. Avoid relying on a search snippet or an unaffiliated “can I run it” page as the authoritative source.
- Record the stated requirements. Copy the minimum and recommended operating system, processor, graphics card, memory, storage and any required API, launcher or online connection.
- Check your installed hardware. On Windows, press
Windows+R, enterdxdiag, and review the System and Display tabs. You can also open Settings → System → About for the processor and installed RAM, and Settings → System → Storage for free space. - Compare like with like. Match the exact GPU model rather than only its brand or shared graphics memory. Check the operating-system edition and architecture, not just the Windows version number.
- Allow for installation overhead. A game that lists a storage requirement may need additional temporary space while installing or updating. Keep more free space than the stated minimum.
- Check non-hardware dependencies. Verify the required launcher, account, graphics API, internet connection, controller support and age or regional restrictions.
- Use the developer’s support channel when a requirement is unclear. A benchmark from an unrelated game or a generic hardware-rating website cannot replace the title’s own documentation.
How to interpret system requirements when you find them
For another, correctly identified PC title, the minimum line usually means the lowest configuration the developer intends to support, often at reduced visual settings and resolution. It is not a promise of a particular frame rate. Recommended requirements generally target higher settings, but they still may not specify resolution, frame-rate goal or whether ray tracing is enabled.
- Processor: Compare the full model and generation. “Intel Core i5” or “Ryzen 5” alone is too broad to establish equivalence.
- Graphics: Confirm the discrete or integrated GPU model, dedicated video memory and driver support. A larger amount of system RAM does not make up for an unsupported graphics chip.
- Memory: Check total installed RAM and how much is available while other applications are running. Integrated graphics may reserve part of system memory.
- Operating system: Match the required edition, 64-bit architecture and update level. Compatibility can fail even when the processor and GPU are fast enough.
- Storage: Confirm both capacity and drive health. An SSD can improve loading, but it does not turn hardware below the stated GPU or CPU requirement into supported hardware.
Common mistakes with this title
Assuming the 2–5 player count is a PC specification
The 2–5 figure describes how many people can play the physical game. It does not indicate online matchmaking, local co-op, simultaneous users, controller support or the number of computers required.
Treating a planned launch as a platform announcement
The autumn 2026 limited release and spring 2027 global launch describe the physical product’s announced rollout. They do not announce Windows, macOS or Linux support.

- The Chamber Of Secrets has been opened and the Heir To Slytherin is causing havoc -- Harry and his friends have to stop it
- Explore the complete world of Hogwarts -- completely immersive, interactive environments are waiting to be explored
- Save the students who are being petrified by Slytherin
- Fly in aerial levels on Harry's Nimbus 2000
- Combat the deadly menace unleashed by the Chamber with new spells
Trusting an unofficial download
A page offering an alleged executable, crack or “PC version” without a verifiable publisher relationship is not evidence of an official adaptation. It also creates an avoidable malware and account-theft risk. Use an authenticated retailer or publisher channel instead.
Assuming late pledges are still available
The October 8 late-pledge reference reported by ZowGame is an update, not a guarantee that the campaign accepts new orders. Confirm the order state, edition, language, shipping destination, taxes and final delivered price before paying.
Using a generic hardware checker
Automated checkers can only compare against a database entry. If the title has no verified PC requirements, a result for a similarly named game is meaningless.

Buying the physical game without confusing it with software
If you intended to purchase the tabletop product, search specifically for Harry Potter Defenders of Hogwarts board game and read the listing for physical components and edition details. Confirm all of the following with the seller:
- That the item is a boxed tabletop game, not digital software or an unrelated product.
- The edition, language and included components.
- Whether the item is in stock, a preorder, a late pledge or a future release.
- Shipping cost, taxes, delivery region and the total price at checkout.
- The seller’s return policy and evidence that the listing is authorized.
Current marketplace stock and an active official listing were not established in the available material, so do not rely on an old campaign page or an unverified offer.
Bottom line for your PC
There is no supported PC compatibility answer for Harry Potter: Defenders of Hogwarts because the identified product is a physical 2–5-player board game and no PC edition or system requirements have been published in the available evidence. Verify the exact title first. If you meant another Harry Potter computer game, use that game’s own official requirements and platform listing; do not compare your hardware with figures invented for Defenders of Hogwarts.
