To check whether your PC can run AKIBA LOST, compare its specifications with the Steam listing’s published minimums: 64-bit Windows 10, an Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM, graphics support for DirectX 11 or later, and 8 GB of available storage. Why a pass is not a precise performance prediction

- “Intel Core i5” covers many generations. A current, efficient Core i5 and an early Core i5 can have very different performance, but the store page does not state which one was used as the baseline.
- No graphics-card model is named. DirectX 11 support tells you which graphics API capability is required; it does not identify the rendering speed, memory bandwidth, or VRAM capacity needed for a particular frame rate.
- No recommended configuration is supplied. Meeting the minimum is not a guarantee of smooth play, a specific resolution, or a fixed frame rate.
For that reason, treat the result as a compatibility screen rather than a benchmark. A computer that appears to satisfy every broad minimum may still require a practical test, especially when its processor or graphics adapter is old, integrated, differently branded, or otherwise difficult to map to the wording on the store page.
Check your Windows edition and 64-bit architecture
Use Settings to identify the installed edition
- Open Settings.
- Choose System, then About.
- Read Windows specifications to identify the edition and version.
- In Device specifications, find System type. It should identify a 64-bit operating system and, where shown, a 64-bit processor.
The published minimum specifically names 64-bit Windows 10. Windows 11 may display the required 64-bit architecture, but the Steam listing does not provide a separate Windows 11 compatibility statement. Record exactly what your PC reports instead of treating an unlisted operating system as formally guaranteed.
Confirm the architecture with System Information
For a second check, press Windows key + R, enter msinfo32, and press Enter. The System Type field should show an x64-based PC for a 64-bit installation. This window also gives you the exact processor name and installed physical memory, which are useful for the next checks.

Do not confuse Windows version with processor capability
A 64-bit copy of Windows confirms the operating-system side of the requirement. It does not prove that the installed processor matches the unspecified Core i5 baseline or that the graphics adapter can render the game acceptably. Keep those checks separate.
Find the exact processor model
Task Manager method
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Select Performance, then CPU.
- Copy the full model name shown in the upper-right area, including its generation or model number.
A label such as “Core i5” without the numbers is not enough for a careful comparison. Write down the complete designation. The listing does not say whether a particular generation is required, so this article cannot convert every Core i5 model into a definite yes or no.
System Information method
In msinfo32, read the Processor line. This can be easier than Task Manager on systems where the CPU name is abbreviated elsewhere. Save the exact text before comparing it with the store wording.

How to interpret non-Intel processors
The minimum explicitly says Intel Core i5 and does not name an equivalent processor from another vendor. If your computer uses a different processor family, do not declare it equivalent solely from a product name, clock speed, or core count. Mark the CPU portion as uncertain and use the demo, if available, as a practical check.

Task Manager method
- Open Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc.
- Choose Performance, then Memory.
- Read the total installed memory, normally shown in gigabytes.
The listed minimum is 8 GB of RAM. Record the installed total, not merely the amount currently unused. If Windows reports less than 8 GB installed, the PC does not meet this published minimum. If it reports exactly 8 GB, it meets the stated number but the listing does not explain how much memory should remain available for Windows and other running programs.
Alternative check through Settings
Open Settings → System → About and read Installed RAM. Use the Task Manager figure if the two displays appear rounded differently, and compare the underlying installed amount with the store’s 8 GB requirement.
Check the graphics adapter and DirectX support
Identify the active adapter
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter
dxdiagand press Enter. - Open the Display or Render tab, depending on how Windows labels the adapter.
- Record the adapter name and the DirectX information shown by the diagnostic tool.
You can also open Task Manager → Performance → GPU to see the adapter name used by Windows. On a laptop with more than one adapter, note both entries and identify which one is active when the game runs.
Interpret “DirectX 11” correctly
The Steam requirement says graphics supporting DirectX 11 or later and separately lists DirectX 11. This is an API-capability requirement, not a named graphics-card recommendation. A DirectX diagnostic report that shows DirectX 11 or a later runtime does not by itself prove that the adapter has sufficient rendering performance. Conversely, a newer runtime installed in Windows does not make an old adapter’s hardware feature level newer than it actually is.
The store page gives no GPU model, VRAM amount, or target frame rate. Do not infer a specific discrete card, minimum VRAM number, or quality preset from the DirectX wording. If the adapter is integrated, very old, or reports an unusual feature level, classify the result as uncertain rather than automatically passing it.

Confirm available storage
- Open File Explorer.
- Select This PC.
- Locate the drive where you plan to install the game.
- Check the available-space figure for that drive.
The minimum is 8 GB of available storage. This is free space at the time of installation, not the total capacity printed on the drive. If you have multiple drives, check the specific library location Steam will use. The published requirement does not state an additional allowance for updates, temporary files, or recordings, so do not present a larger number as an official requirement.
Record the result in one comparison sheet
Writing down the values prevents a common mistake: checking one component and assuming the rest are covered. Use a simple worksheet like this:

A “pass” in the table means that the recorded value does not fall below the published wording. It does not mean that Steam has certified the computer, that every scene will be smooth, or that a particular resolution is guaranteed.

What to do with borderline or incomplete information
Your CPU is a Core i5, but the generation is unclear
Look up the complete model name shown by Windows rather than relying on a case label or a seller’s description. Because Steam supplies no generation, there is no defensible cutoff in the listing itself. Keep the result provisional and test the demo when available.
Your processor is not an Intel Core i5
The page does not provide an AMD or other-vendor equivalent. A different processor may perform adequately, but the published text alone cannot establish that equivalence. Treat the processor requirement as unresolved until a real run provides evidence for your particular PC.
Your graphics adapter supports DirectX 11, but you do not know its performance
This is exactly the situation created by the missing GPU model and VRAM figure. DirectX support satisfies the named capability check, while the actual performance question remains open. Do not buy a card or claim a frame-rate target based solely on the store page.

Your system has exactly 8 GB of RAM or 8 GB of free space
Those values meet the stated minimum numbers. The listing does not publish a margin above them, so close the comparison with a practical test rather than describing the machine as comfortably above requirements.

The Steam store page links to a demo where available. A demo can provide useful evidence for your specific combination of CPU, graphics adapter, drivers, Windows installation, and background software, but it is not a formal guarantee about every part of the full game.
- Open the live AKIBA LOST Steam store page and verify that the demo is currently offered in your region.
- Install the demo on the drive you checked for at least 8 GB of free space.
- Before launching, close unnecessary applications so the test reflects the game rather than a heavily loaded desktop.
- Play through enough of the available material to observe loading, video playback, input response, rendering, and stability.
- Record whether the demo launches, whether scenes remain usable, and whether you encounter crashes or graphical errors.
Interpret the outcome narrowly. A successful demo run is evidence that the demo worked on that configuration; it does not certify the full release. A failed demo run identifies a problem worth troubleshooting, but it does not prove that every possible installation of the full game would fail. Store-page availability can also change, so the demo may not be visible in every region or at every time.

Release information in the available official sources is inconsistent over time. An IzanagiGames Steam Community announcement dated September 17, 2026 said that the Steam release had been postponed and that the announcement did not provide a confirmed new release date or time. The English-language official AKIBA LOST website, accessed October 9, 2026, displayed “Now on Sale!!” and linked to Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PS5.
These statements should not be collapsed into a single permanent release claim. Before downloading or purchasing, open the current Steam page and read its present release and availability status. The dated announcement remains useful historical context, while the live store page is the place to verify what can actually be installed now.
Do not treat the game’s content figures as PC specifications
The official website says the title contains around 100,000 still images and over 20 hours of recorded video. Those figures describe the amount of game content. They do not establish a CPU model, GPU model, RAM target, storage requirement beyond the Steam listing, or expected frame rate.

In particular, do not multiply the stated video duration into a larger storage requirement. The only published PC storage minimum in the Steam listing is 8 GB of available space. The website’s content description and the store’s hardware requirements answer different questions.
General troubleshooting when a qualifying PC will not run the game
If your recorded specifications meet the broad minimums but the game or demo does not behave correctly, work through these checks without changing the published requirements:
- Recheck the installation drive. Confirm that the drive selected in Steam still has at least 8 GB free after the download begins.
- Verify the adapter being used. On systems with multiple GPUs, compare the adapter shown in Windows with the one active while the game is running.
- Close competing applications. Background programs can consume memory or graphics resources, which is especially relevant when the machine has only the listed 8 GB of RAM.
- Re-run DxDiag. Save the current Display and System information so you can distinguish an API or driver report from a processor or memory shortfall.
- Check the live store page. A postponed release, changed build, unavailable demo, or regional storefront difference can explain why an expected download or test is missing.
These steps diagnose the computer and storefront state; they do not create a missing recommended configuration. Because Steam publishes no detailed recommended tier, there is no official specification to substitute when a borderline machine performs poorly.

Likely meets the published baseline
Your PC falls into this category when it reports 64-bit Windows 10, at least 8 GB of RAM, at least 8 GB of free space on the installation drive, graphics support for DirectX 11 or later, and an Intel Core i5 model that you can identify. Even here, the unspecified CPU generation and GPU performance prevent a guaranteed frame-rate prediction.
Conditionally compatible
Use this label when one or more values are difficult to map: a non-Intel processor, an unidentified Core i5 generation, an integrated or very old graphics adapter, Windows 11 without a separate statement from the listing, or a system that only barely reaches the numeric minimums. The demo is the most useful next check when it is available.
Below the published minimum
A PC is below the stated baseline if it has less than 8 GB of RAM, less than 8 GB of free installation space, lacks 64-bit Windows 10 as listed, or has graphics hardware that does not support DirectX 11 or later. A processor that cannot reasonably be identified against the “Intel Core i5” wording should be treated as unresolved rather than silently counted as a pass.
