Rebooting is Netflix’s catalog name for the 2023 Japanese series also known as Brush Up Life. Whether you can stream it on Netflix in the United States is not established by the available current catalog evidence, and a VPN does not guarantee access to another country’s Netflix library. Netflix’s official Malaysia page currently says the title is unavailable there, so Malaysia should not be treated as a confirmed destination.
Can you watch Rebooting on Netflix in the US with a VPN?
There is no verified basis here to say that Rebooting is currently available on Netflix US, or that connecting through a VPN will unlock it. Netflix has separate country catalogs because streaming rights vary by region. It also says VPN users may see only titles it has worldwide licensing for, rather than the full catalog of the apparent location. See Netflix’s explanation of why a show or movie may not appear and its VPN guidance.

Netflix’s official title page for Malaysia currently reports that Rebooting is not available in the viewer’s country: Watch Rebooting in Malaysia. That conflicts with claims that Malaysia is a confirmed Netflix region for the series. A title page in another country’s catalog, such as Netflix’s Rebooting page, does not prove the show is licensed to stream in the US.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow to check whether Netflix US has the series
- Open Netflix while connected normally, without a VPN, and search for Rebooting, the name Netflix uses for the series.
- Check Netflix’s title page while signed in and confirm that playback is offered for your account and location. A page that merely displays show information is not enough to establish that it can be watched there.
- If it does not appear, check a current, verified US streaming listing. A Moviefone page powered by JustWatch lists Doki Amazon Channel, but that is a secondary listing and its current availability was not independently confirmed; treat it as a lead, not a confirmed option: Rebooting availability listing.
What Netflix says a VPN can—and cannot—do
A VPN can make your device or network appear to connect from another location, but Netflix does not promise that this will expose that region’s full catalog. Netflix says, “With a VPN, you may only be shown TV shows and movies Netflix has worldwide licensing for, like Squid Games or Stranger Things.” Its guidance also says VPNs are unsupported for live events and ad-supported viewing. Read Netflix’s VPN help page before troubleshooting access.

Netflix says the country associated with an account changes when a subscriber moves, not simply because they connect through a VPN. It also explains that using a VPN can hide the viewer’s region and limit the selection to globally licensed titles: Changing the country of your account.
If Netflix says the title is unavailable in your region
Netflix’s first troubleshooting step for a region error is to turn off the VPN and try again. The error can also relate to travel, a recent move, or Netflix identifying the viewer’s country incorrectly. Follow Netflix’s steps on its current-region title error page. If the title still does not appear after that, check Netflix’s live catalog for your actual location rather than assuming another region will work.
