Who is eligible to use a Sportsbet account?
Sportsbet’s General Rules, updated and effective from 11 February 2026, require account holders to be at least 18 and resident in Australia. For legal and/or commercial reasons, Sportsbet says people who reside outside Australia may not open or use an account. The rules also prohibit attempting to bypass restrictions on access.
What could happen if you try to bypass a restriction?
Sportsbet’s rules say it may suspend or permanently close an account if its monitoring indicates that a customer may be in a restricted jurisdiction and betting. They also say winnings may be forfeited if an account was opened contrary to the rules. These are possible actions described by the operator, not automatic outcomes for every access attempt.
