No. Each of the five survey and research platforms whose published terms were checked for this article prohibits VPN or proxy use while you take surveys or access the service, and several treat it as grounds for suspension, disqualification or forfeited rewards. That is why this article does not rank five VPNs. A list of VPNs for survey sites would be a list of tools for doing something these platforms forbid, and a provider’s speed, server count or price says nothing about whether a platform will accept your account.
This is a review of published platform policies, not a product test. No VPN was tested, measured or used to access any survey for this article.

Why a VPN ranking doesn’t answer the question
Typical VPN reviews measure speed, server locations, logging claims and price. None of those attributes decides whether a survey platform allows the connection. The deciding factors are the platform’s terms and the location checks it runs on your account. Survey platforms match members to studies by country, and several of them state that a mismatch between the location on your profile and the location their systems see can cause errors, block access to studies or hold back payments. A VPN or proxy is designed to change the location a platform sees, which is exactly what these rules address.

GrabPoints
GrabPoints’ support page answers the question “Can I use a VPN or Proxy?” directly: “Using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or proxy server while accessing GrabPoints is a violation of our Terms of Service.” The page states that any such use can result in account suspension. It also explains that many surveys and offers are location-specific, so the rule is not only a formality; a masked location can make an account appear to be somewhere it is not.
Prolific
Prolific’s participant guidance says: “Participants shouldn’t use a VPN, iCloud Private Relay, proxies, or similar services while using Prolific.” Prolific states that it needs to verify the country of residence listed in your participant profile. According to the guidance, VPN or proxy use can trigger errors, prevent you from accessing studies, or block cash-out. The page specifically tells participants to check whether iCloud Private Relay or VPN settings on the device or browser are active.

TimeBucks’ help center states: “The use of VPNs, proxies, hosting services, or any technology designed to hide, alter, or misrepresent your true IP address or location is strictly prohibited under the TimeBucks Terms of Service.” The help page describes location misrepresentation and survey fraud as the risks behind the rule. A separate troubleshooting page dated August 5, 2026 lists VPN and proxy use among possible reasons for an account or device to be flagged, and advises disabling active VPN and proxy settings when you troubleshoot a flagged account.

- Turn off any VPN app and any proxy setting on the device and browser you use for the platform.
- In your Apple account’s iCloud settings, turn off iCloud Private Relay if it is on. Prolific names this feature specifically.
- Check that the country in your profile matches where you actually live. Do not change it to match a different location.
- Retry from your normal connection. If the error persists, contact the platform’s support team and describe the problem; do not try another masking tool.
If a survey you want is simply not offered, the usual cause is that the study is restricted to certain countries, which is the reason the platforms give for their location checks. A connection problem is a less likely explanation.

What these rules do and don’t establish
- They cover five named platforms. They are not a universal rule for every survey provider, and the pages reviewed do not establish how the rules apply in every country.
- Policies change. The dates above show when each page or terms version was published or last updated, so check the live terms of the specific service you use before relying on any of them.
- Where a platform’s terms do not state a consequence, this article does not infer one. Read the full terms, or ask support, for the penalties that apply to your account.
