A listing that says it fits the phone does not automatically mean it fits every case. Compare the phone-and-case measurements with the armband’s stated opening or case allowance before buying.
What determines whether it fits?
Samsung lists the Galaxy S6 Edge at 142.1 × 70.1 × 7.0 mm, with a 5.1-inch display. Samsung’s US support specifications for the AT&T model give approximately 142.0 × 70.1 × 7.1 mm; the small difference reflects rounding. These are the phone’s dimensions, not the dimensions with a case installed. Samsung’s Galaxy S6 edge SM-G925A support page and Samsung Newsroom’s launch specifications identify the device measurements.

Measure your phone with its case on, including thickness. Then compare those measurements with the armband’s internal opening or maximum phone dimensions and any explicit case guidance. Screen diagonal alone is not enough: two phones with the same screen size can have different external dimensions, and a case adds bulk.

These are manufacturer compatibility claims, not controlled fit tests. Check the exact armband version and case dimensions rather than treating either listing as a guarantee.

How to check before buying
- Measure the cased phone. Record its height, width, and thickness with the case installed.
- Find the armband’s fit details. Look for internal opening dimensions, maximum phone dimensions, or explicit case-clearance guidance—not just a screen-size label or a bare-phone compatibility list.
- Compare all three dimensions. Confirm the cased phone can enter the pocket and that the closure can close without forcing or compressing the case.
- Check how you will use the screen. If the armband has a screen window, the listings cited here do not establish touchscreen performance for the S6 Edge or its curved display through that window.
- Check the strap and seller terms. Confirm the adjustment range and closure suit your arm, and review regional availability and return terms. The cited product information does not establish running stability or comfort for a particular wearer.
What a compatibility claim does—and does not—tell you
A named S6 Edge or S6 listing is a useful starting point, but it may describe the phone without a case. A broad claim such as “up to 6 inches” also does not establish clearance for a thick or unusually shaped case. Neither cited manufacturer page provides controlled evidence about case-on fit for every configuration, sweat protection, screen response, or security while running.
Because the Galaxy S6 Edge is an older phone, confirm that the exact product version is currently available in your region before ordering. Do not assume an old compatibility listing corresponds to current stock or to every version sold under a similar product name.
