Sony does not list Xbox consoles as compatible with the DualSense Edge, and Microsoft does not list PS5 as compatible with the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. For an Elite 2 on PS5, Brook lists support through its Wingman P5 adapter, subject to its current compatibility list.
Direct compatibility: what the manufacturers list
A controller’s USB-C connector or Bluetooth capability does not by itself establish that it works with a console. Sony and Microsoft document supported platforms separately, and neither lists the other company’s console for these controller pairings.

DualSense Edge on Xbox
Sony’s DualSense Edge support page lists selected computers and Apple devices that can connect over USB-C or Bluetooth, including Windows 10 (64-bit) and Windows 11, macOS Ventura 13.3 or later, iOS/iPadOS 16.4 or later, and tvOS 16.4 or later. Xbox consoles are not included. Sony also notes that supported games and devices determine which features work: on PC, haptic feedback may require USB, while haptics are unavailable on Mac and mobile; the headset jack requires a wired connection on PC or Mac.

Microsoft’s Elite Series 2 product page lists Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, Windows PCs, and mobile devices. For Windows 10/11, it specifies Bluetooth, a compatible USB-C cable, or the separately sold Xbox Wireless Adapter. PS5 is not listed as a supported console.

- Ultra Customizable Controls
- Mappable Back Buttons
- DualSense Wireless Controller Features Built In
- Replaceable Stick Modules and Caps
Microsoft’s Xbox Wire discussion of the Series X controller says, “First, we’re supporting cross-compatibility between Xbox Series X and Xbox One consoles and controllers.” It also discusses PC and mobile use; it does not establish Xbox-controller support on PS5.
Using an Xbox Elite 2 on PS5 with an adapter
Brook’s Wingman P5 product page lists the Xbox Elite 2 among controllers it supports on PS5, and also names the DualSense Edge. This is Brook’s compatibility claim, not Sony or Microsoft certification. Brook says only controllers on its official compatibility list are guaranteed to work.

Before buying, check Brook’s live list for your exact controller model or revision and the required connection mode. Confirm any adapter firmware requirements and which features work with that combination; the product’s broad compatibility description does not establish that every controller feature is available through the adapter.

What to check before you try a cross-console setup
- Exact controller: Match the full model and revision to the adapter maker’s compatibility list.
- Connection mode: Verify whether the listed combination works wired, wirelessly, or both; do not assume USB-C or Bluetooth alone is enough.
- Firmware: Check whether the adapter requires a particular current firmware version.
- Features: Look for explicit information about the functions you care about. Compatibility does not necessarily mean every controller feature works.
