Yes—one story run can unlock both documented main endings. After you obtain the Aurifer Knife, make a manual save at the nearby Save Point. A claim that New Game+ adds two more endings remains insufficiently documented, so “every ending” is confirmed only for the two main routes.
What “every ending” means in Tenebris Somnia
Published walkthroughs from Gamer Social Club, ShowGamer and Prima Games agree on a two-ending route that can be completed without starting the story over. Those documented endings are Solve et Coagula and Magnum Opus. The decisive choice is made late, after the Aurifer Knife is created, so an earlier save is not needed for this purpose.

The phrase “every ending” needs a qualification because Prima Games also says that New Game+ contains two additional endings, for four in total. That report does not name the extra endings or explain their unlock conditions. No detailed route specifies those requirements. You can therefore state confidently that both main endings are obtainable in one playthrough; you cannot yet promise that the same save cycle unlocks all four endings mentioned by that unverified New Game+ claim.

Play through the story normally and complete the knife transformations until the game creates the Aurifer Knife. A Save Point is located immediately afterward, before you leave the area. Use it for a manual save before making any Relicta decision.

- Continue the story until the Aurifer Knife is obtained.
- At the nearby Save Point, create a manual save. Keep this file untouched as your branch save.
- Leave the area and follow the no-kill route first, which leads to Solve et Coagula.
- After the credits, return to the title or load menu and reload the Aurifer save.
- Follow the kill route to reach Magnum Opus.
This timing matters. Saving immediately after the Aurifer is created preserves the game state before the first relevant Relicta action. Reloading that file lets you change only the branch decision instead of replaying the preceding puzzles, encounters and story progress.
Route one: Solve et Coagula
Do not kill a Relicta with the Aurifer
For the ending commonly labeled the good ending, spare every Relicta after obtaining the Aurifer. The ghosts flee when you approach with the knife, so the required behavior is avoidance rather than combat. Do not use the Aurifer to kill any of them.
Continue to Septimo Arte
Once you have avoided the Relicta, continue through the normal route to Septimo Arte. The no-kill branch leads to the Lacuna final encounter. Complete that encounter and let the credits play; this records the Solve et Coagula ending on the current run.
What counts as a clean branch
- Every Relicta encountered after the Aurifer is obtained is spared.
- You continue through Septimo Arte rather than restarting the story.
- The final encounter for this branch is Lacuna.
- The ending name is Solve et Coagula.
No long chain of dialogue conditions is specified for this ending. The documented requirement is the post-Aurifer Relicta rule.

Route two: Magnum Opus
Reload the untouched Aurifer save
After finishing the first ending, reload the manual save made immediately after the Aurifer Knife was created. You do not need to replay the earlier knife transformations or the story sections that preceded the save.
Kill one Relicta with the Aurifer
On this loaded file, use the Aurifer to kill a Relicta. One kill is sufficient to switch the branch. Killing additional Relicta does not change the documented outcome, so there is no advantage to hunting for more once the condition has been met.
Continue to the Hermes encounter
Proceed to Septimo Arte after the kill. This route leads to the Hermes final encounter. Finish the encounter and the credits to receive Magnum Opus, the ending commonly labeled the bad ending.

- At least one Relicta is killed with the Aurifer after the knife is obtained.
- One kill is enough; no different result is reported from killing more.
- The route continues through Septimo Arte.
- The final encounter is Hermes.

Why this is one playthrough instead of two
The game places the branch after the Aurifer Knife is created and provides a Save Point before you leave the area. That combination is what makes the route efficient. Your first completion establishes one ending, while the reload restores the pre-decision state for the other.
There is no need to maintain several rotating files for the two documented outcomes. A single protected save made at the Aurifer Save Point is enough, provided you do not overwrite it with a later state. If you want to preserve access to both routes, keep the branch save until both credits sequences have been completed.
New Game+ and the unconfirmed two-ending claim
Prima Games reports that New Game+ adds two more endings, which would make four total. The report does not provide names, a trigger list or a route diagram for those endings. The detailed guides that explain the Aurifer branch document only Solve et Coagula and Magnum Opus.

Practical checklist before you leave the Aurifer area
- Confirm that the knife is specifically the Aurifer Knife, not an earlier transformation.
- Locate the nearby Save Point immediately after the Aurifer is created.
- Make a manual save and note that it is the branch file.
- For the first run, avoid every Relicta rather than testing whether a kill matters.
- Reach Septimo Arte and complete the Lacuna route.
- After the credits, reload the branch file instead of the newest autosave.
- On the second run, kill one Relicta with the Aurifer, then continue to Septimo Arte and Hermes.
- Keep the branch file if you want to revisit either route.
Troubleshooting common mistakes
You accidentally killed a Relicta on the first run
The no-kill requirement is strict in the documented route. If the kill occurred after the Aurifer save, reload that save before continuing. If you overwrote the branch file, no earlier shortcut is documented, so you may have to replay from the last intact save.
You spared every Relicta but reached Hermes
Check which file you loaded and whether the Aurifer was already obtained when the Relicta action occurred. The documented split is tied to killing one Relicta with the Aurifer after its creation. A save from before the knife transformation may not represent the intended branch state.
You killed more than one Relicta on the second run
That does not alter the documented branch. One kill is sufficient, and additional kills do not produce a separate main ending according to the walkthroughs.

The branch is simple to execute, but the surrounding game is designed around constrained resources. New Blood Interactive CEO Dave Oshry described the intended balance as: “You will only ever have just enough health” and “You will only ever have just enough ammo.” Those comments are useful context for planning: avoid unnecessary fights on the no-kill route, preserve supplies for mandatory encounters and do not assume that experimenting with every Relicta is cost-free.
Executive producer Airdorf characterized the experience as feeling like “you’re playing through someone’s nightmares.” The atmosphere and survival pressure explain why a clean save before the branch is preferable to improvising a route while low on resources. The ending decision itself is binary in the documented guides, but reaching either final encounter still requires completing the intervening path.

If a platform presents separate manual and automatic save slots, choose the manual Save Point file and verify it is the file you reload after the first credits sequence. The documented method depends on restoring the state immediately after the Aurifer, not on restarting a chapter or selecting a different ending from a menu.
