Not directly. Pokémon HOME does not list Pokémon FireRed or Pokémon LeafGreen as games that connect to it, and Nintendo’s published Poké Transporter source-game list does not include either GBA title. If your Pokémon are already in Pokémon Bank, you can move them from Bank to HOME with a Premium plan. If they are still in FireRed or LeafGreen, the official guidance reviewed here does not establish the complete route to Bank, so do not assume a direct transfer or buy hardware on that assumption.

Can I transfer Pokémon from FireRed or LeafGreen directly to Pokémon HOME?

No direct connection is documented. HOME’s compatibility information describes Bank as a route for moving Pokémon into HOME; it does not list FireRed or LeafGreen as games that connect to HOME. Nintendo’s published Poké Transporter compatibility list names Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, Pokémon White 2, and specified Virtual Console games as supported source titles. FireRed and LeafGreen are not on that list.

That means Poké Transporter should not be treated as the GBA-to-Bank transfer step, and a FireRed or LeafGreen cartridge by itself is not enough to move a Pokémon into HOME.

What if the Pokémon are already in Pokémon Bank?

If the Pokémon are already in Bank, the documented final step is to move them from Bank to Pokémon HOME. Nintendo lists this feature as requiring Pokémon HOME Premium. The move is one-way: a Pokémon transferred to HOME cannot be sent back to Bank.

#1 Best Overall
Pokemon FireRed Version
  • Join up to 39 other wireless Trainers in the Union Room for a free-for-all, or connect with just two or three in the Direct Corner
  • Prove yourself in the region's Pokémon League while single-handedly bringing down Team Rocket - then open up all-new storylines with unexpected twists
  • Bring the Pokemon you capture in Fire Red to the worlds of Leaf Green, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, or Pokemon Colosseum for more challenge

Before confirming the move, make sure HOME is where you want to keep the Pokémon. Check the current Bank and HOME service notices before acting, since availability and operating status can change.

What if the Pokémon are still in FireRed or LeafGreen?

The exact legacy route from either GBA game through any intermediate games and services into Bank is not established by the official guidance covered here. In particular, that guidance does not provide a verified, current list of the intermediate game versions, consoles, applications, or service requirements for completing the whole chain.

Before attempting a transfer, identify where the Pokémon are now and what compatible games, hardware, applications, and Bank data you already have. Then verify the full route for that exact setup against current authoritative migration instructions. Do not infer that Poké Transporter accepts a FireRed or LeafGreen save merely because it is used in some other older-game transfers.

Where the Pokémon are now What is established What to do next
Already in Pokémon Bank Bank-to-HOME requires HOME Premium; the transfer cannot be reversed back to Bank. Check the current service notice, then use the Bank-to-HOME transfer if you accept the one-way move.
Still in FireRed or LeafGreen No direct HOME connection is documented, and Nintendo’s Poké Transporter source-game list does not include either title. Verify the complete legacy route and its requirements for your setup before moving Pokémon or acquiring equipment.

How long can Pokémon still be moved from Bank to HOME?

Pokémon Support announced that Pokémon Bank will end on February 26, 2027 at 03:00 UTC, and that Bank-to-HOME transfers will no longer be possible after that time. This is an announced service deadline, so check Pokémon Support’s current notice before relying on it or planning a transfer.

Can every Pokémon in HOME be moved into any connected game?

No. HOME says Pokémon can move only to games in which they appear. For an individual Pokémon, check the game-specific compatibility details in HOME’s mobile Help or connected-games information before choosing a destination.
