Delisting generally means the game is no longer offered for new purchase in that Store listing; the available PlayStation guidance does not say that delisting alone automatically revokes an existing purchase. It also does not guarantee that every delisted game will remain downloadable forever.
What changes when a PS5 game is delisted?
A delisted game is no longer offered for new purchase through the affected PlayStation Store listing. That is different from a confirmed purchase disappearing from your account. PlayStation’s US Terms of Service, March 2026 edition, say that after PlayStation confirms a transaction, the customer may access the digital product through the account used to order it, subject to the applicable Usage Terms: PlayStation Terms of Service.

The terms also put responsibility on users to download or access a product before it is removed or its license expires. So an existing purchase is not the same as a universal promise of permanent redownload access. The outcome can depend on the game’s license, the account and regional terms, and whether the game’s online services are still operating.

Can you still play it, including online?
Downloading a game and using its online features are separate questions. If the game is installed, whether it launches or supports offline play depends on the game and its license. Online multiplayer and other connected features can depend on servers or services that may be discontinued independently of the Store listing. PlayStation’s service notices distinguish continued play from ongoing online-feature availability; check the notice for the specific game: PlayStation game service closure notices.
