There is no verified current purchase route for the original Asseta AST token. Historical material describes a 2018 token sale and a possible exchange listing, but it does not establish that the token can be bought today. Which AST token is Asseta’s?
The best-supported identification is the historical ASSETA COIN (AST), an Ethereum token associated with the Asseta project and the former ico.asseta.eu domain. An Etherscan search result labels the contract 0x08ae1da2daba9555061771e27aa6cc83a38f929c as “ASSETA COIN (AST)” and shows the historical domain: Etherscan token record.

That record is an identity lead, not proof that the token is safe, liquid, verified, or currently tradeable. Do not identify a token by ticker alone: other projects use AST, while Astar’s token is ASTR. For example, the unrelated ast.fun project has a different AST token: ast.fun. Confirm the project name, network, and exact contract through a reliable current project source before any transaction.

What the historical sale information establishes
Asseta’s project announcement said its ICO ran from February 2 through February 28, 2018, accepted ETH, and had a total supply of 33,000,000 AST. These are historical project claims, not evidence of a sale that is open now or confirmation of the token’s current supply. The announcement also promoted discounts for using AST on Asseta services and a token buyback program; the available record does not verify that these benefits were delivered or remain available. A TechBullion article dated April 25, 2018 described AST as an ERC-20 token and outlined a prospective exchange route: buyers could obtain established coins such as BTC, ETH, or XRP and trade them for AST on exchanges where it would be listed. That was historical, conditional language; it did not name a venue that is verified as a current market. TechBullion’s 2018 article.
How to check whether a purchase is possible now
- Start with the exact asset. Search a reputable market-data or blockchain source for the full contract

Confirm a live venue and trading pair for that exact contract. A search result, old listing announcement, token page, or wallet balance display does not by itself show that buyers can trade at a usable price.
- Cross-check through a current official channel. Verify that the project’s current official source points to the same contract and venue. The historical domain or promotional material alone is not enough to establish a current route.
- Review the transaction details before proceeding. If a route is confirmed, check the network, contract, pair, liquidity, spread, fees, slippage, custody arrangement, and geographic restrictions. Do not send funds to an address or connect a wallet based solely on an unsolicited message.
No current exchange, active liquidity pool, or official purchase flow for the original Asseta contract is established by the available records. That leaves present availability unresolved; it does not prove that no market exists. Do not substitute another AST token or ASTR if a search produces a different asset.

What to do if you cannot verify a route
- Do not follow old instructions to buy ETH or another coin and exchange it for AST unless a current venue and exact trading pair have been independently confirmed.
- Do not treat a quoted historical token price, supply figure, utility claim, or buyback plan as current evidence of value or project activity.
- Wait for a current official project source and a reputable market or blockchain record to agree on the exact network, contract, and route.
